Big batch of sangria and mint juleps as suggested. Then, you have beer, wine and hard liquor covered. Guests have choices and all the drinkers will be happy.

I appreciate all the real comments. We closed on a new construction house last Thursday so yes I am trying to save a few dollars here and there. Having people coming from Florida. New York, California, South America, and of course my Cajun fam. Nothing wrong with trying to show them some Cajun or southern culture while in town. The trolls are in every thread. Don’t give them purpose by responding.

That's funny coming from you.

The only thing wrong about what OP is doing is asking for a jungle juice/trash can punch kind of deal. I would have premade stuff but make it actual cocktails.

A lot of people do the "signature cocktail" thing now. I would do that route and just have 2 premade cocktails. One that's more female and one that's more male so everyone is happy.

Lol at idiots that throw away thousands on a reception nobody will really remember

Yeah, I love all the pseudo-sophisticates railing on the nice coonass boy here who just wants to have fun and make sure all his guests are happy.

I like a fancy traditional wedding but not gonna lie I’d still have a blast if I showed up to a reception and they had a cooler full of jungle juice and a pirogue full of domestics

I would click my heels and Thank God for the chance to take off my coat and tie and have a ball

The day is about enjoying those around you that you care about.

Go with a classical punch recipe.

Not a jungle juice monstrosity, more of a classic punch.

A sweet tea with citrus and bourbon.

As mentioned, go with Sangria. We buy the Costco brand and it is really good. Put it in a big clear jug with a spout and slice up a few apples and oranges to throw in for looks, maybe some cinnamon sticks. It is cheap and you can have plenty of bottles hidden away so that when it gets low you just dump in another bottle. We do this every year for our Christmas party and it is by far the cheapest thing we serve and also the biggest hit.

Agreed. I'd like to show my support by showing up and having some of this bulk portion drink.

Make old fashioneds in bulk to serve at a wedding. Every large gathering in our family comes with several gallons of pre-mixed old fashioneds.

Or Planters Punch. Easy to make in bulk in advance, uses rum, and tastes great.

Mai Thai using the PF Changs method (so not truly a mai thai, but it is very good and works well for parties)

I did this for my wedding party, and it was a major hit. I premade it a few days prior, kept it in buckets and refilled the drink dispensers as they got low. Was easy, not expensive and good.

2c white rum
3/4c trip sec
3/4c orgeat (almond syrup)
2c orange juice
2c pineapple juice

That's it. Very simple. If you want to make it red then add cherry juice to it.

Rent a frozen daquiri machine or just mix lemonade with either Honey Jack Daniels or Bayou Spiced Rum and serve it over ice. It's strong, but tasty and refreshing. If you do pink or blue lemonade, all the basic white girls will go ape-shite for it and start twerking.
