I went yesterday as well and had the Mexico City...because everyone was ordering it and it looked delicious....well, it was.
It's a cool concept to take the breads and ingredients and even sandwich recipes from all over the world and bring it into one sandwich shop....Pretty well priced too... 9.50 for a meal
Jimmy Johns has too be nervous here.

I stopped by for breakfast this morning too. Got the Anytime Bacon. Two eggs, bacon, pepper jack, pepper jack, and remoulade on a sandwich. Very good, though priced kinda high for breakfast. Same price as the lunch sandwich ($6.50). Drop it by $2 and I will come by weekly.

I think Jimmy Johns will be fine. I haven't been to Street Breads yet but it seems like a different concept. I can't wait to try it out.

Went on Monday. I got the Cuban ham. I thought it was good not great. The meat had a good flavor. Mushy jarred jalapeños though. My gf got some wrap. It was drowned in sauce. I'll definitely go back and try something else. Always looking for a good sandwich

It's not McDonalds dude. Stave off from buying an extra coke or two per week and you may be able to handle the additional two bucks it's costing you to have good food.

Went for lunch. Got the Mexico City Chicken & Chipotle, which was very good. Some of the other ones looked excellent as well. There were a lot of people in there, and the line was pretty long. They need to work on some issues to speed it up, but being day 2, I'll give them a pass.
Is this a Joke?
If all they had was a couple of "issues" on day two, they are way ahead of the game. You have no idea what it takes to open a restaurant. Working the "kinks" out usually takes 3-6 months, not days.

I will back BMoney on this one. He wasn't being condescending. I was there at lunch with him, and I mentioned how much slower it was than in the LC store. In fact, the owner sent me a text while we were there and his words were: "Sorry, it's painfully slow." Not that it bothered either one of us given the breaking in of the place.
Yeah, opening restaurants are tough and it takes months to work out kinks. And I can see how you may read the comments the way that you did. But I don't think BMoney was demanding precise service on the 2nd day. . .just pointing out that there were issues that needed to be worked out.

Just pointing out that the expectations might be unrealistic.
Never make a judgement on a restaurant in the first 3-6 months. To many moving parts. Just ask Martini, if my memory serves me correctly, he dosen't make his first visit until after 6 months...

No, if it was a joke I wouldn't have gone back for breakfast this morning. I enjoyed the hell out of it. And I'll be back. The wife wants to go tomorrow. I'll probably join her.
And to the guy who commented on the breakfast prices: sorry, but I'm not dropping $7+ on breakfast very often. My typical breakfast is either eggs at home, a bagel, or a Clif bar and some fruit. Maybe I'll take the kids here on the weekend, but weekday breakfast probably won't happen if it's the same price as lunch.

Hopefully Street Breads is good and will put this shite hole out of business.
I cant fathom why anyone would want to eat at Jimmy Johns.............I've been to that location twice and was very disappointed both times.

Actually had lunch today when I went to get my hair cut. The girl who cuts my hair asked if I wanted to eat lunch before the cut, and I said sure.
The line was long, but it moved very quick. I got the Mexican Chipotle Chicken. She got the Pesto portobello. We split the sandwiches so we each got half and they were excellent. Good bread. Quality ingredients. I also got a side of the Mardi gras cole slaw which was very good.
I'm a fan and will be back to try their other sandwiches when I'm in the area.

I got the slaw as well.
And does that count as a date, Zombie?

I've now been twice and have ordered the pulled pork and Mexico City and tried a bit of the Cuban. All excellent. At $6.50 for a sandwich, it's a steal. $3 for a pour of Canebreak at lunch is always very nice.

Considering I'm married and she's the little sister of one of my close friends and has been cutting my hair for a few years now? No.
