Fry a coarsely chopped medium onion until clear. Add some finely chopped garlic, black olives and heat for a couple minutes then add a can of sardines, heat for couple more minutes then add two beaten eggs and cook until done. Salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to taste goes in with the eggs. If you don't like sardines, leave em out. Strange huh?

I realized at thanksgiving my family has an old but simple recipe for our cole slaw

Ingredients/Recipe:

Cabbage in blender/food processor till its gritty
Salt to taste
Cayenne pepper to taste
Vineger to taste

thats it. I eat raw cauliflower and broccoli the same way (without the blender part)

That's exactly how my grandmother does it, and it's about the only way I like cole slaw. I HATE cole slaw with raisins in it.

Me too. Your grandmother doesn't happen to be from St. Martinville area?

Good god who would do that? I've had peanuts in a recipe that toned down the mayo and it was pretty good.

My husband swears on bologna and mustard sandwiches on Pepperidge farm cinnamon raisin swirl bread. He says it is both sweet and salty. (yak)

i'm an egg whore, so i'll eat a fried egg on top of just about anything... ...i frequent a couple of mexican restaurants that put fried eggs on a number of entrées--i almost always order one. egg on top of a burger is excellent as well. in one of the previous places i've lived, i frequented a restaurant that put a fried egg on top of a buffalo burger...damn strong dish.

There is no better combination to me than ice-cold coleslaw and hot french fries. I even made a sandwich out of it once and really enjoyed it, but won't allow myself to continue.

To a couple of posters.

I love mayo on chili dogs and fried spam with mayo on white bread is the bomb. Also love fried grits, but I cut them into squares and eat with butter and salt.

I got a raisin in my cole slaw Sunday night, I really though I might have to spit out that bite.

Two thing I haven't seen yet.

Purple hulls with pepper jelly or chow chow.

Fig preserves with pork roast.

Pears and mayo /cheddar cheese-used to see this all the time.
