I know there will not be definitive answers here, and like some entertaining ad hominem arguments.
So, I am interested in opinions and the entertainment.

San-J Tamari. Had me ever since I saw "brewed" on the label
Seriously, has a more rounded flavor than regular soy sauce.

I have been using Coco Aminos as a substitute, and it's been pretty good. A little sweeter but not bad for recipes.

Generally speaking, fermented soy (like soy sauce) is OK. I avoid unfermented soy (soy milk, soy burgers, edamame) on a regular basis due to the phytoestrogens. Every once in a while, it’s OK. But I’m not drinking soy milk daily or eating tofu, etc. If you’re a dude, it might matter less to you.

I'll do edamame about once a year at a restaurant
The other issues not with standing I don't really care for the taste of soy milk or tofu anyway

I don’t eat it & I don’t see a need to substitute for protein, however we’ve seen a significant growth in this category recently... plain tofu all types, soft to extra firm always sold well, now we can’t keep the fake cheese & fake sausage full enough. Fake sour cream parm cheese etc... flies off the shelf.

WTF is the problem?
It was a simple question that some softies obviously don’t like.

It's bring falsely marketed as healthy. People think they're doing a good thing when they buy that shite

Correct, just look at all the ingredients in a fake burger, it’s a processed food.
