The people who own City Pork have brought Baton Rouge a taste of Hawaii. To me, one of my absolute favorites is cold, raw fish salads. Huge fan of Asian flavors. I can't wait to give them a try. Has anyone been so far, and if so, how was it?

I got the large and honestly; I could have taken some home; but finished the whole thing. It still wasn't enough to feel "stuffed" to the gills.

I feel really good though right now. It wasn't a heavy lunch at all; but I think the protein in the fish well help feel satiated the rest of the day.

Sorry, zombie, I must have been writing my review as you were writing this one. I didn't see you post this but I reviewed it:

Living in L.A. I have plenty of poke options...it has ruined sushi for me forever... and I'm not even mad about it.

Jesus. they just opened. I'm sure that other options may be offered once they see if BR adapts to the concept.

I went last night and very impressed.

Size of the bowls is perfect (I got a large). I built my own with salmon, avocado and cucumbers over rice. the wife had the classic with a few add ons. It was really, really good.

I overheard a lady say the chicken was fantastic; but I didn't go for chicken.

I went last night around 7 and the line was out the door. I waited it out and got the Tiki Combo. It has tuna, salmon and shrimp. I got a base of the purple rice that was developed at LSU. I was hesitant about the purple rice at first but it tasted just like white rice.

Also had some good looking cocktails.

They told us they had to make 2 trips to get more fish throughout the day. So it sounds like they had a busy opening day.
