Chicken was very juicy, full of flavor. A very light pepper cake at the end. Crust was crunchy. I would not say that it was exceptional, however. I’ve had Popeyes many times that was absolutely exceptional as well as other times where it was not so good. The red beans and rice has some sweetness which I find very unusual for red beans. Like Popeyes red beans are my own better but a decent chicken joint. The wait was very long, 30 minutes.

This place opened today, and fricked up my evening commute. I just assumed it was a wreck, but my wife comes home the opposite direction and said it was traffic from this place.

Maybe it is outstanding, but if you're blocking a major road in a city for fried chicken I hope you get a hemorrhoid.

I can’t believe there are people waiting hours for this…there’s no chicken in the world worth waiting in a line like that for

Buddy and I passed by there Friday. The line down Sherwood was insane. Literally backed up one lane all the way down to the interstate.

I'm sure it's got to be pretty good. But waiting in a line that long for fried chicken is insane. There is a Popeyes right by the interstate.

I intend to try it but it will be when the drive thru line is only located in the parking lot.

I passed by today - MONDAY - around 2pm. Line on Sherwood was up to I-12.

It can't be that good.

Jesus. For 4 days the line has been stretched down Sherwood. There's no way some fried chicken can be worth waiting in line for hours.

DQ next door was exactly the same way for a couple of weeks when they opened. Long lines blocking Sherwood almost to the interstate. It only last a handful of weeks - just like this will. Then it will be nustvwhatever their normal crowd is.

I went yesterday around 4pm. There was a line of cars so I parked at Piccadilly and walked up to the window. There were 4 people waiting there. I got chicken tenders. They were good, fresh and really tasted like chicken. The tenders were better than Cane's tenders. I got the 10 box of tenders for the family. (Three of us) A couple of them were small but I noticed that there were 11 in the box, counting the small ones. So it looked like they knew they were giving me a small one so they added another small one to make up for it. I thought that was a fair and reasonable way to do it. If I get a small one from Cane's it is just too bad for me.

Not hard to do. I've only ate there once (Shreveport). Got the bone-in because I'm an adult and it was killer but I'll be damn if I wait in a long arse line for it. Especially when Blue Store is right around the corner.

I frequent two of the locations in Shreveport(East 70th & Mansfield Road). While the lines are long at times when I go(10-12 cars deep), they move folks thru fairly quickly IMO.

I can go to Popeye's and only have 2-3 cars in line and then I pull up to the window and get told to pull ahead and have to wait 10 minutes for my order.

N Market line in Shreveport is backed down the median at any given time every day. Its like the hood Chick Fil A. Pro tip - park next door and walk up to the window if you can.

Which Blue Store? Because the Bluebonnet location and the original foodmart on Mills have very good legs and thighs.

Nah. It's just BR. A new fast food place opens and the locals go nuts.

I remember when the Dunkin Donuts opened on Sherwood. I was out on Sherwood one morning the week it opened...drive thru line was out to Sherwood holding up traffic (though not to the extent of the Chicken place). For Dunkin Donuts!!!!

Fast forward 2-3 years later and it was closed. I suspect despite the hoopla now for the chicken place, it will meet the same fate in a few years.

Then BR will get another out of state chain and the hysteria will begin again.

I’m guessing this is more than that. Other locations in the state have lines all day and have been there for years. Like someone else said, they are basically the Chick-fil-A of fried chicken.
