they also have rainbow packaging supporting LGBTQ

Why is this a problem?? I support people doing whatever the hell they want. If a beer company wants to support them, why do I care? It's not like they are making children's toys or cartoons.

Someone wants a rec to replace a low-calorie lager and you recommend Founders All Day IPA? I understand the idea of sending people to better-quality beer but it is unlikely someone with a taste for Ultra at 10 IBU is going to jump right on board with an IPA with an IBU over 40*.

Yuengling Light would probably the best decent alternative with AFAIK no alphabet agenda. It has under 100 calories and while it has more taste than Ultra it is still crisp and a little malty and the bitterness is low at ~15 IBU.

*admittedly 40 is low bitterness for an IPA but it is a whole other world from the almost complete lack of bitterness of Ultra.

Baw…

Google Yuengling and tell me if you see anything about China. Oldest US brewery. Just about the only one left that’s not a micro.

Exactly. I've only ever heard it be called Chickalob.

Literally anything from a local brewer.

ETA: Just to name a couple of lite beers from Louisiana:
Catahoula Common from Gnarly Barley (Hammond).
Paradise Park from Urban south (Nola).
Parish Pilsner from Parish (Lafayette).

Corona also owned by an AB sister co

I see that InBev owns them but it’s still brewed in Mexico.

So scratch that.

Looks like Miller light it is.

Oh good. Another virtue signal beer thread. We needed another one of these.

See it as a chance to get the BMC drinkers into craft beer.
