Hasn’t Baton Rouge had a lot of good/decent pizza come into the area the last 8-10 years?

Mellow was always packed during college, so I’m surprised the quality could have turned that for the worse to not succeed right by LSU.

The one in Auburn is always busy. Good location, lots of beers on tap.

I went to the original location in Midtown Atlanta years ago. It was in an old DQ location, no inside seating. The founder was working by it by himself. The menu was simple and the pizza was good. Just a hippy from Fairburn making pizzas.

It's got more of a corporate vibe now.

I thought the pizza, salads and sandwiches were good and the selection of beers was good. I went often. They started having live music during the week and the service and the quality of the food went down. The bands started early and they were rushing customers (families with kids or parents taking their college age kids out for dinner) out the door early before the music started.

They shot themselves in the foot with the live bands and loud music.

BBap's crew stopped showing up for trivia nights, and it was downhill from there

It is. That was the first MM location that I visited. Very good.

I genuinely don't know. Mellow Mushroom has some of my favorite pizza. We need some more locations around here.

Are there any LA locations still open?

The one in Metairie and the one on Oak St closed years back.

Lake Charles location lasted less than 2 yrs, franchise owner was a doctor and his wife I think. Absentee ownership never works out well.

Completely location dependent. The older the location, the less corporate they feel.

Not sure if you’ve ever been, but the one in downtown Asheville is a great vibe. Definitely not corporate.

Athens (the old location, my brother worked there), Kennesaw (my wife worked there), and Snellville are all good old school locations with good non-corp vibe. I haven't been to the Ashville location.

The BR location closed due to increasing royalties paid back to the franchise. Higher % of gross margin back to the corporate boys drove the business to close

The Metairie location was always rocking until they changed the management. Billy I think his name was sucked, and we quit going.

Mellow Mushroom makes terrible pizza and the service is horrible. I’m surprised the one in Metairie lasted as long as it did.

It had a pretty good run. I remember it being such a big deal when it opened.
