Overrated in the end. I'd rather a sonic or whataburger burger any day.

My nephew just came in from Japan where he lives part of the year, and made my sister bring him to get a burger first thing. So they had In and Out.

I want to try it when I go to Cali in a couple of days, but I won't go out of my way for it. But my neph gave his seal of approval.

Wife and I ate at one before heading to the airport in San Francisco. It was okay. Ordered a double with fries animal style. Burger was okay, but Wendy's or Whataburger makes a better or comparable burger IMO. The fries were terrible. Soggy fries covered with fake cheese slices, burnt onions, and animal sauce (thousand island dressing). Not good.

Emily Turner mentioned it about 3 times on NBC 33's new this morning.

My girlfriend's dad, who knows great food, said it was WAY over hyped.

I've eating at the one in San Fran on the wharf. If you have ever had Christians in Houston it taste just like that IMO just on a smaller scale.

Corner of Vets and Williams. I wondered what that place was.

Sure you aren't thinking of Pollo Campero?

They didn't have a Pollo Loco in Kenner when I left town about 6 weeks ago

Bembos looks pretty legit. What are those hot chips they serve on the side? Plantain chips maybe?

They had plantain chips, although the fries were pretty decent. Aji sauce is the best.

What was really great about Bembos was that the meat had that delicious Peruvian seasoning. And both places I visited were spic-and-span clean and the cashiers actually spoke English.

Anyone else think this just seems funny in an In n Out thread?

I like INO for the price. The secret menu is a great marketing technique. The problem with the fries is you have to get them right out of the fryer... otherwise they are terrible even "animal style." I usually don't risk it.
