Fair point. But at the same time, I don't think there are too many breweries who go from the act of bottling a beer to it being on store shelves in a few days. Buying direct from the brewery is a different story obviously.

Unless you live by the brewery, right.

It was in places like Shreveport and Baton Rouge like 2 days after bottling.

Stop acting like you know what you're talking about.

Can any of you beer aficionados tell me why we don't get sours down here? I was introduced to them in the northwest recently and they were awesome.

So last night I awoke in the middle of the night and could not fall back asleep. Of course I came to TD to occupy my sleepless night and somehow ventured to this board. I came across a few thread titles with "ghost" in it and started reading and figured out that it's a beer. Fast forward to tonight after a day at work thinking to myself "I have to try this beer". Drove to the bulldog, ordered 1 for me and 1 for my friend who I had told about this beer, we both took 1 sip and agreed it's the nastiest beer we've ever tasted. I don't know what's wrong with y'all taste buds but if you think that's a good beer, you need to be checked out. What a let down.

To each his own.
Most think it's among the best beers made in state and out of state people love getting it in trades.

Curious as to what beers you enjoy?

Not a good beer if you do not like hoppy... If you like hoppy then you will enjoy

Well I was thinking I'd enjoy it because I really like canebrake and they're both parish brewed but they're nothing alike. I also like Leinenkugel sunset wheat, Bud light, Michelob, etc. I'm not big on venturing out in my beer drinking but saw so many people talking about it, I had to try it. Washed the taste out of my mouth with a budlight and decided not to waste the money trying jucifer.

Cool no probs with that....BUT most of what you see on this board (aka HOPS-ville....ok I just made that up) won't be for you. Although come up in the BD threads and post what you like with the rest of us..rest assured there are an assload of people with similar tastes to you they just aren't vocal

You should try Southpaw, Natural Light, Dixie, etc. Have you ventured your palate into Zima yet?

Huge gap between Canebrake and Ghost. Not everyone is a fan of hops, especially right at first.

An inbetween beer you might want to try is Lagunitas Lil Sumpin Sumpin. It will have some hops, buy a good malty backbone of a wheat beer.

Lots of varied wheat beers on the market.
