When you pull up to the window and the first words out of the speaker is," We ain't got no chicken. What do you want?", there just may be a problem with customer service. Especially when you ask if they are out out or that they are frying more and it will be a while. Then you get the little gem of " I TOLD YOU, WE OUT OF CHICKEN!" That was the last time I graced the drive through of Popeyes on Bluebonnet.

I've had to wait on fresh chicken a few times, but never really had problems with Popeye's. I had to wait at Church's once, but I've only been there once and I was glad to get the fresh fried at the time. There's a mom and pop establishment near me with plate lunches and fried wings every day. I think it does fried chicken on certain days. I've been meaning to try it because I don't love Popeye's, but it's convenient since it's near my house when I have the fried chicken craving suddenly. There's a place I like, but it's in a bad part of town and I won't go there after dark. It's a walk up. I guess it's still open. Good chicken though.
I haven't had KFC in years. Did it improve at all? I had a pot pie from there when I went to get one for a friend and it was darn good. That crust!

I posted above how they should give you a time when it will be ready. Not just a we dont have any so order something else. If they have some frying, they should tell the customer that and say how long it will take
Those assholes sure as hell have a timer that lets them know when they need to tell you to pull forward so you don't ding their service time. Why the hell don't they have a timer linked to the timed fryers that have a countdown to when the next batch of hot, fresh chicken is going to be ready and just display that to the dining room? Then the Popeye's All-Stars can be even lazier when dealing with the customers and just point to the sign and grunt.

Tell them you'll pay for the food when it comes out.

that has never happened to me. I do have to pull up every time.
Worst customer service but the product is good.

I renewed my vehicle registrations on 2 vehicles here in Gwinnett County (suburban Atlanta).
Did it at a drive through window. I timed it. Less than 4 minutes. First thought I had was "I could never get Popeyes that damn fast" ... then I got even madder at the La. DMV.

I live in gulf shores and any time I venture north to foley, I stop at the Popeyes.
I'm usually not even hungry, but I stop and go in specifically for the service. Best Popeyes service in America hands down. It's a refreshing experience.
Foley folks who work at the outlet mall, from the retirees to the young kids, are generally pretty good retail workers. I find them more helpful and friendly that similar workers in many other places.

Is this a subtle brag thread about your pending diarrhea?

Popeyes charges like $9-$10 for many of their meals, so it isn't like they have a more difficult time throwing chicken out than Canes does.
I'm pretty damn sure Popeyes isn't throwing away any chicken at the end of the night.

Back in the day, if you went late, they would usually give you several extra pieces when closing.
I can remember several times hitting Earhart back when they were open late late late and getting a full box instead of my 3 piece order.

I usually go inside for this very reason. The other day the lady told me they were out of spicy and it would be 25 minutes till it was ready. Really 25 minutes to fry up your main product on your menu? ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconspank.gif)

I find their spicy to not even be as spicy as it once was. It's not painful at all.
First Popeyes I went to was on Carollton Avenue in NOLA. The spicy was very spicy. I don't know if it was just that hot or I just am more heat tolerant now. Maybe both.

You used to be able to clearly see red cayenne pepper on the chicken. Don't think you can these days.

You should never use the drive-thru at a BR Popeyes, that's is just asking to be tormented. When ordering to-go inside your order will never be correct. The best you can hope for is that your order is close to being right. If you can accept this, than your Popeyes experience will be tolerable.
