Upvote. My kids tear through my smoked turkey gumbo made with stock from smoked turkey.

When I try to trick them with smoked chicken gumbo, they give me the thumbs down.

I had no complaints. The smoked turkey was awesome to begin with, so it make a great gumbo

Smoked hen is my go to, them old tough birds hold up well and don’t get stringy like chicken

Looks like your pot performed well. I have a pre-Griswold “Erie” #10 from about 1875 that still rocks out a good gumbo
