Coming soon a Poke restaurant... probably

There's already a Southfin on Corporate. Hell, it may even be in the same shopping center.

I enjoy mooyah. I think 5 guys burger is better but I like the flexible menu at mooyah, and I like their fries more.

Smash burger operates on the concept that people like crispy, thin burgers

It's a concept that has appeal to a lot of people. It is the original construction of a Wendy's burger (they were supposed to smash it), and places like Steak n Shake. Poor service and low quality on other items is going to doom any burger joint, though.

BR is so overrun with burger joints but I’m surprised there hasn’t been a Krystal Burger/White Castle put somewhere out there. Seems like the one area of the pie unserved

Baton Rouge seems ripe for a Krystal. Man, you put a 24 hour one by campus, you could just sit back and let the money roll in.

Siegen one stays open bc there aren’t many good burgers in that area.

Did Burgersmith close?

I don't get the love for Five Guys. I've eaten it twice at the one in Metairie and once at the one on Clearview. Each time the burger was cooked well but had NO seasoning/flavor whatsoever and the shitty bun fell apart to the point where I found myself just eating individual chunks of tomato, lettuce, bun and burger toward the end. The "Cajun" fries are terrible and far from cajun. When I tried them they tasted like they put nothing but thyme on them. Banana shake was fya though.

When it comes to fast food joint type burgers in Nola where I can drive through I'll take Atomic Burger over Five Guys anyday. Patties are seasoned well with just salt/pepper when they hit the grill and burger doesn't fall apart.

When I have time to sit and eat I always go for Company Burger. But I haven't exactly eaten every burger there is to try in Nola so if anyone has a recommendation that rivals or 1-ups Company Burger then let me know because I'd love to try it.

Was it at least cooked "well-done AND juicy," like they promise in their signs?

Freddy's does the crispy smash burger right. Shame about the slow service, though, and I'm not a fan of the thin fries.

There is a Smashburger less than a half mile from my house. We would order pick up to go and usually by the time I got home the fries were cold and the burgers not very good.

Not impressed.
