Per BR Business’s Report - Daily Report - Morning Edition

3.5 years in business. The District Manager cites that the location was too big (2,780 sq ft).

Another business is moving into the location and will finish up the 5 year lease.

Horrible hiring practices - lack of proper and continued training and a mediocre product l, in my opinion, had to do them in.

Five Guys operates in similar size spaces and does well. Plus they’re employees actually seem engaged and trained.

I find their food to be pretty average.

The recently closed a location near me as well in Austin. Is it a franchise?

with 5 guys there and then Dearmans opening back up... they were the shittiest of the three burger joints in that mile radius... that is saying something because the other places are pretty meh IMO

I disagree. I find 5 Guys to be too greasy and I hate their bacon. Plus the smash fries, IMO, are far superior to 5 Guys.

We have all mentioned for years how bad BR Smashburger was, and the guy that owns it just didn't staff nor train properly. As Smashburger in Denver their home base,etc..delivers a decent product.

Never understood him choosing by Five Guys, Whole Foods(great burger), Walk Ons, Dearmans, etc..loaded competition

Smash burger operates on the concept that people like crispy, thin burgers with average service and below average fries. People in BR don’t want those crispy burgers, they want juicy thick burgers

I can't believe the mall location will make it. I've never seen a line, and the food is not that good. Same with Crispy Catch, though they do have better food than Smash. That Sarku Japan is money though. People love that shite, and I'm one of them.

I think Smashburger was better than MooYah. I have no idea how that place stays open.

MooYah on Siegen is one of their top performing restaurants. I don't find it to be great either.

BR just has so many burger places. It's fine with me because I love a good burger but no way they all make it.

Everytime I look in the NOLA Magazine Street Smashburger there are 3 full tables TOPS. No clue how they sustain that business.

Their fried chicken sandwich is actually really good. I could care less about their burgers though. Too many superior options nearby.

Well one of them closed. Siegen one stays open bc there aren’t many good burgers in that area. MooYah is next on my list of bad burger places to close though

I posted on here not too long ago about how amazing it was still in business with zero lunch crowd on workdays. Not shocked by this news
