When it was first opened slice was a hit. The place is what it is, a solid but not great pie, that stood out in pizza crowd before Pizza Delicious, Domenica, Amici and other newer joints passed them up. I'll take Slice over Theos and Reginellis.

My problem with Ancora is i cant go there without ordering the gnochi. But you are right. Best deal ever and perfect after a few at cure.

Red Zeppelin (BR) is best. Best o have had outside of NY. Theo's is #2 and best in Nola. Slice is #3. Very good pizza but not the best. Dominica is last but not least..,, Very good but a little too fancy for pizza.
