It’s decent, but just like In and Out, it is overrated. I like it and It’s in there with a “decent” fast food meal when you are in the mood for it, nothing move. Those type places seem much better when you hit them while traveling or its not an everyday thing.

Shake Shack is fine. But I don't know anyone who has regular access to one and who still loves it. It's more of a thing you have when traveling and enjoy it, so you long for one near you, and then it opens, you go a couple times, and you're over it.

I think it would be hard for In and Out to live up to the hype, just because of the sheer amount of hype. that being said, I think The burgers are very very good and they aren’t insanely expensive. If it had some kind of cultural significant to me I’d say it 100% lives up to the hype.

I like Shake Shack when traveling - it is a bit overrated just like In N Out but fine overall, good shakes, bad fries
Really it doesn't matter if it's good or not - being at the Mall of LA will mean it's shite sooner rather than later
Look at everything else around there over the past few years
Can't even go to Pluckers, BJs, Red Robin anymore the service (and most clientele) is such shite

I’ve eaten a lot of things that were less than wonderful but very little that I’d classify that way.

I’m not a big fan of strips of bacon atop a burger. The bacon onion jam burger at Atomic is a top tier burger (there are no strips of bacon on it).
