Looks like Shake Shack is planning on opening up in Canal Place. Picked this up while researching something else.

Yes, Shake Shack actually has it's own beer (Shackmeister Ale) that is brewed by Brooklyn Brewery.
Congrats to NOLA for finally getting the GOAT quick service burger chain.

They were already scheduled to go in the old Lager’s building (ETA they already tore down Lagers) as well as the new airport

Generally yes, only a few areas of the city require a conditional use approval. They can't operate as a stand-alone bar but can serve alcohol when serving food. Exactly what Company Burger does.

The Lager's building wasn't torn down. Shake Shack is using the same building.
