I kinda hope it is him just because if it isn't, some person just really fricked the owner by impersonating him in a bad light.

Oh yes, the best Sammich and BBQ in Meridian both come from my kitchen.
I disagree. The Rib Shack makes the best BBQ cause you don't need no teef to eat da shack's meat.

To be fair, that link is a top 10 list of NEW bbq places in America, not the top 10 BEST bbq places.

Damn these splinters under the table are no joke. Look what it did to my Girbauds. At least the beer is cheap.

Tell us about the fat city location of your original place and why you had to close so soon?
Btw, loved your food.

Drove by it just now. Looks closed today. He's even got the door boarded up.
Wanted to go to Sammich, but couldn't talk my kid into it.

I'm sorry, guess I was confused in thinking you were involved with the smoking buddha place when it opened there.

Awesome
Look at the first article that popped up on google.
Rob and Emily Bechtold are a husband and wife team that has been cranking out slow-cooked meat since last August. When their initial incarnation Smokin’ Buddha BBQ in Metairie fell victim to a leasing hiccup, Rob and Emily took their show on the road, offering their barbecued meats and sides delivered to your door on a day’s notice. When the Avenue Pub came calling looking for an up and comer to relieve their own kitchen staff one day a week, the Bechtolds knew they had a chance at a steady gig.

Early favorite for thread of the year!

No indicia of alterness. That's why approached him in this thread with wise counsel.
I'm there at least twice a month. Burnt ends and spoonbread are on point. Hate to see him come off here like a tool. Dude needs more prayer flags apparently.

I like this guy...a lot actually. Seriously, what's the address for this place. He's doing what s lot of other people don't have the balls to do, going directly after these jokes of online "reviewers" who believe they are gods gift to yelp. #1) he is very correct on being an honest customer and telling them what wrong at the point it happened, not after the fact #2) the price is his decision, the menu has it on there. If they don't like it, go somewhere else.
All in all, I think we need to find that website I believe the Australians started that was the anti yelp where you could put someone on blast for being bad customers. You know, like the ones who come on here and complain about their cheap wives trying to tip 8% when a restaurant clearly states 20% gratuity on all separate checks on the menu. I mean, if that ever happened, it might be like a cosmopolitan, slightly dirty, shaken or stirred...
