Party of 6 tonight, seated promptly on arrival Ravioli, spicy shrimp, tuna for apps
Porterhouse for 2, bone in filet
Potatoes au gratin, mashed, mushrooms, spinach
Food and service were spot on
What makes BR Ruth’s great is the consistency, and they delivered tonight.

I used to work at Ruth’s back in the day. Your cheesecake comes premade and frozen and we just put a little sauce on it lol.

Doesn’t say much for the rest of the stuff Ruth’s offers if you were trying to make it a bad thing. Still the best thing on their menu.

It's a top notch restaurant across the board.

One in Metairie is inconsistent.

One in BR is privately owned. Cuts their own steaks. I don't consider it a chain like the metarie one

The wife and I go once every year or so. We enjoy it and we can bring a bottle of Rombauer Cab to enjoy with our ribeye. We also love the creamed spinach as a side. Service is always great as is the atmosphere.

Need a read on mover and shaker levels before forming an opinion.

But is it a Ruth's recipe that gets made at an offsite kitchen for distribution, or can I go buy it somewhere?

Ruth's blueberry cheesecake is my favorite I've had anywhere.

That I don’t know. The cheesecakes were premade and all of the soups came in premade bags that we warmed up. Those were the only things I can recall. Meat was hand cut in the back. Sauces were hand made each day. It’s probably the cleanest restaurant you’ll ever eat from. That was close to a decade ago I worked there though so who knows today.

Yeah they probably have a commissary, pretty common for chains, even local ones.. I worked at DeAngelo's for a while in 09 and all sauces, dressings, and desserts were made at a commissary.

I've never been to a Ruth Chris, but have been wanting to bring my wife.

How much for 2? Apps, entrees, sides, dessert, drinks? Less than $200 or more like less than $300

It’s usually about $250 for us after tip. That’s for salad, steak, and side for each of us along with cocktails.

Steaks are about $60 each. Spinach side to split is about $15. I bring my own wine that has a $20 cork fee. Sometimes the waiter waives it. If he does we add to his tip. $200 to $250 depending on if we get more wine ore desert.

I haven't been to Ruth's Chris in a little over a couple years and checked their menu on-line.

DAMN-----a 16 oz. Ribeye is now $64

24 oz. T-Bone is $65

8 oz. Filet is $51

40 oz. Porterhouse for 2 is $109

40 oz. Tomahawk Ribeye is $139

19 oz. Bone-in N.Y. Strip is $68

And of course, everything else is "A la carte". Two people will easily top $200 plus tip by meals end.
