Pork Butts in the cryovac 2 pack for $.88 a lb.

Chicken leg quarters at $.25 a lb.

Wild Caught Salmon at $8.99 a lb.

Mangoes at 4 for $1

Yuengling 24 pack bottles for $19.49

Pineapples for $.99 each.

Good time to stock up on butts and leg quarters at those prices.

Lord, I got about 30 lbs of butt sitting in the freezer right now at .99 and another 3-4 lbs of pulled pork from the other butt.

Will def stock up on leg quarters. Anyone who doesn't prefer dark meat isn't someone I want to be friends with.

Yes.

ETA: If you don't have a vacuum sealer, you can just wrap it up really well with plastic wrap. It will probably stick to the butt anyway. Then you can wrap it up with aluminum foil really well. That will keep your plastic wrap touching the meat and will help prevent freezer burn.

Yes they do. I wrap mine in Saran wrap, then aluminum foil, then finish them off with Freezer paper and tape all the seams. I've had them last for months in the freezer like that.

I just got back from Rouses and will season one to smoke on Saturday and freeze the other one.

Yes they do
I wrap tightly in plastic wrap, then aluminum foil, again tightly and then freezer paper.
Usually use them pretty quickly but could last a few months frozen.
Take out a couple of days before use, needs to thaw out completely.

I couldn't find the 24 pack of Yuengling in the walk-in cooler but it was stacked on the floor near the frozen meat section of the Rouses on Carrollton Ave.

Careful with their leg quarters. Bought a pack a few months ago when it was in sale. Not great quality, but at this price, what would you expect.

Last time I wanted to buy some on sale they were frozen in a 10lb bag.
Would have to defrost them all at one time.
Would rather be unfrozen to freeze in smaller quantities for later use.

I’ll get two butts but pass on the chicken

Like others have already said they freeze very well, my method is to cut the cryovac bag it comes in on the seam at the short end, pull one out and cook however, then fold the cryovac bag very tightly around the other butt then place in a walmart bag and tie shut tightly, have kept them frozen for a year and they thaw perfectly

This is how they are sold and I've not had any issues with getting them damn near defrosted just enough to trim and separate them, then bag them up to freeze for later use.

The way they are expanding to other areas, I'd not get my hopes up that Rouses will be selling out any time soon.

As for me, I like the store and much prefer to shop there than the Winn-Dixie right across the street.

Yep, l bought a bag last time the leg quarters were on sale. Looked like they can from the midget chicken farm.
