Heard about it and ate there recently.

I like the place, but I think it's extremely overrated and overhyped by its patrons.

The truth is that it's just glorified cafeteria food.

The food has always been over-hyped, but the experience has always been a fun trip for me.

Overrated like others have stated, but if you want to ingest 2 days worth of calories in one meal, it's a great place.

I'm not from Da Parish and I like the place. They have awesome onion rings!

This.

I've got no dog in the hunt and I think it is a great casual dining place. The roast beef is pretty damn good as well.

Back in the 90's when I would have to go to Murphy oil to work could get a po-boy for lunch and eat the other half for dinner. Saved on the per diem and gave me a little more money to
Buy beer!

The only thing that makes it stand out is the size of the portions. Hence, it's all aces for residents of 'da Parish.

I thought it was good - nothing mindblowing in quality, but it had character and was interesting. For the price, it was a good experience overall. Everything I ate was quality.

I would recommend it, more for the experience than anything. It was a really good atmosphere and the food portions were huge. Cannot eat that much macaroni and cheese, though. Good grief.

Place has definitely gone down hill a bit since Katrina. I prefer Par 3 diner on Paris rd.
