Great restauranteur, knew what you were getting every time you stepped in the door. Uptown or Metry, really good food, great atmosphere, great service.

Ate at Vincent's in Metairie tonight. Had plans to do so with family before we heard about this earlier today. Was a packed house. Some flowers at the door by a picture of Vincent.

Cannelloni was great, as always

Man this stinks to hear. Love the food. The crab soup in the bread bowl was one of my favorite dishes around.
Enjoyed some great Friday lunches with my wife at the Metairie location. They had some kind of .25 martini special for a while.

Went to LSU with his son. Ate at two of the locations a good bit.

So very sorry for you and your family. I love Vincent's. The cannelloni is the best ever among other things. He set the ambiance for the restaurants which made them such fun and so lively.

’ll keep my personal opinion of him as a person private as I know his family is on here.

then why even put this in there?

Very sorry to hear of this. Although I knew him from Lakeview he was much closer to my brother Jimmy, who also lost his battle with lung and bladder cancer a few years ago. The worm was an amazing guy.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. He was definitely one of a kind. You either loved him or disliked him. My brother was so kind hearted and giving and his dream was always to open a restaurant of his own. I am so proud of him that he was able to successfully fulfill his dream.

Vinnie had the funniest way of looking at my wife and saying “you’re beautiful” so matter of factly
Godspeed, will be missed.

I dated his, and your niece when we were in college. I remember at Sunday dinners, he was the only one who would talk to me, lol. Truly a great chef, restaurateur and man. I’m truly sorry for your family’s loss.

Yep, that was the way Vincent rolled. If he thought a female customer was beautiful, fine, hot, etc…. he had no problem telling them, even if they were with a boyfriend or spouse.

Sad. Ate at Vincent’s in Metairie a couple of months ago and he came to our table and talked to us.

He had secret speakeasy tables for regulars during all of Covid, and his bar was open as well. He did not give a damn, and all his regulars knew it and loved it!!

Such a loss for the community. But, his restaurant will definitely go on; his son will probably take the reigns.
