Went on the last Saturday on the weekend they closed... They literally had shite for beer.

We drank pitchers of pbr since that was all they had and shots of fireball!

RIP!

That place looked like a prime spot to get a solid buzz and hepatitis. Can’t say I’m surprised.

The dude that owns the FQD’s (Kerry I think) kept a few of them open and in the red for a while. The one in PA (where I worked) reported sales that sucked but it had Video Poker and those three machines floated the boat.

That being said, I’m sure Kerry was tired of dealing with them and cashed out.

The smell of cigarette smoke was horrible in FQD on Essen.

French Quarter Daquiri on Essen closed. Not a food joint but it was open there a long time

Every few months I'll get a craving for a daiquiri and head to FQ because the prices were good. There was never anyone in there and it seemed like an awful spot to hang out (I always got mine to go), so I'm not shocked TBH. Sucks though, now I guess I'll just have to pay more and go to Zippys.

Go to the one at Lee and highland by the neighborhood Wal-Mart. It's still going strong somehow

It apparently does some good business. They do a lot of takeout business, especially during summer

I am pretty sure the one on Nicholson is still open. Isn’t a spankys or something supposed to be open in the same shopping center as Ro craft and crust?

I hung out there all the time when I was 18 because it was such a dump that they never guessed I'd be underage and in there Can confirm. Wouldn't hang out there now.

There is a French Quarter in the shopping center at Nicholson and Brightside. There are opening a Spanky's next to the Rotolo's Craft and Crust place on Burbank.

They're putting one in the shopping center by the Rotolo's Craft and Crust at Burbank and Ben Hur.

I rarely ever drink a daiquiri but if I do, the only ones in BR I trust are Lakeside, they at least don't just put pure dog shite liquor in them

I'd be willing to bet that they do.

That place kills it with students going buy shite to pregame. They also kill it with the football tailgate business, too.

However, now having Superior close enough to get a margarita, I can see the sorority girls heading over there instead.

Every time I've been in there, there's always a bunch of fricking weirdos hanging out in there drinking canned beer.

I truly have no fricking clue how Almazas stays open. I honestly have never seen anyone go in there, nor do I know anyone who has ever thought of going there.

Albashas may finally kill them off, though.
