Not a food or spice.

Can be anything else.

At this moment what is your favorite 1 thing you have to cook or make drinks?

Been on a big daiquiri kick. Rum, lime, simple syrup, lots of ice.

I've been using a lot of peach juice this summer for drinks and cooking. Mix it with either gin or bourbon and a little soda, makes a nice refreshing summer cocktail. Last night I seared some pork chops, reduced some bourbon then added in garlic, peach marmalade and peach juice for a really good sauce. Not sure if peach juice qualifies as "not a food"

just got a larger ceramic coated cast iron dutch oven. Been using it for frying and smothering.

SO easy to clean.

I think my ceramic Dutch oven will always be my favorite. At least until I get a high dollar grill/smoker.

My oven followed by a cast iron with some oil in it to reverse sear steaks.

Close second is my Oklahoma Joe Bronco drum that I bought thanks to this board last year Use it at least once a week it seems lately.

I drink unsweet tea a lot now. Never was a fan of it growing up and in early adulthood, but it’s really nice. Im thinking about cooking some peaches into a syrup and making peach tea for my next family gathering.

Can't say enough good things about the RecTec pellet smoker I got a few weeks back. I'm losing the patience needed for a stick burner as I get older, especially with this heat.

It sounds weird, maybe, but there is a great recipe, technique in a Francis Mallman cookbook, where you butterfly pork roast (can use chops or what have you), smear it with a rosemary heavy pesto of sorts, sear it on a plancha (blackstone or cast iron would work) and then scatter peaches around and baste with peach/butter. Its tremendous.

Been on a cucumber kick. Muddled with some salt, hendricks gin, and Fever tree tonic makes for a killer summer drink. I never even liked gin until recently.

Food- have been loving harissa a lot from fish to chicken to pork.

Drink- been making a lot of Mezcal drinks (the $20 bottle from Trader Joe's is actually really good).

Gadget- got a Chemex back in January but these last few months working from home I have used it a ton.

Don't have it yet, but ordered a reverse flow smoker about 2 weeks ago. I still have about 6 more weeks worth of waiting to get it, but I've been stocking up on meat for the freezer and wood for the rack. Really pumped up about it and I think I'm going to be smoking meat every weekend for a while after that.

Right now - I just got an Instapot about 2 weeks ago because my rice cooker kicked the bucket. I've been using it for beans a lot or Chinese style beef or chicken with a sauce. It works pretty good for those things.

Immersion blender: making gazpacho, cold cucumber soup, using it to blend eggs for a crust less quiche that has become my staple quarantine breakfast, whizzing icy drinks, etc

Hard to decide, but my immersion blender and my mini microplane have been in use, plus the food processor for pesto.
