I know I know what was I thinking?

So I had a hankering for boudin and picked up some Richards Boudin here in Dallas.

What I tasted was the worst tasting boudin ever made. No flavor and just out right mush tasting.

I remember this being a lot better in my youth....what the hell happened to Richards? Too commercialized now?

there is a new Heberts meat market that opened on Inwood and Belt Line in addison just off the tollway. $5 a lb for regular and $7 for crawfish and shrimp boudin.

It's fine grilled. Give it a sprinkle of Cajun spice and you're good to go.

startlingly I think mandas is the best grocery store boudin it seems to have a little more lived in it. None of them are even close to the good stuff obviously

I find it odd that they use applesauce in it.

It's not that strange to see pork and applesauce together. I'd have never thought to put it in boudin though.

It's great on the grill. You must have done it wrong. Since I know this boudin, and I don't know you, I'm going with user error.

Richard's boudin is serviceable. It's also a lot better than the tasteless fresh boudin that Chris' Specialty Meats sells.

grilled boudin is probably my favorite way to do it. Really tough to beat the crispy skin
