Any good restaurants within walking distance, say 3 blocks, of the Sanger Theater?

You don't deserve thanks for being a smart arse. OP doesn't want a list of all restaurants. OP wants recommendations from folks here.
I agree on Domenica. That would be my first choice. Redfish Grill isn't far either, but I'd go with Domenica.

Bayona is not all that far.
I agree that within immediate walking distance there isn't much that is great.

I'm seeing a show at the Joy Theater in October and I understand it's across the street from the Saenger. I've also been wanting to try Domenica so it's nice to know it's within walking distance. Saved me from starting a thread

There are definitely more choices a short cab ride away.
Op, are you going to a matinee? Lunch or dinner?

Would be so much safer than walking around that area at night. Cab it for sure.

Marti's is close enough for me to walk, but I'd guess it's 6 blocks up Rampart. Been dying to go. I'd maul some scallop crudo...hell I'd maul everything on the menu.

Marti's has been closed for over a year. Originally was just temporary, but now no one is saying if it will re-open.

Few surrounding blocks aren't great and you don't want to wander for long around there at night.

Saw a show at the Saenger a few weeks back... went to Domenica beforehand, definitely recommend it.

Meauxbar is generally our choice before Saenger shows.

When we saw Wicked this summer, went to Fogo before.
Parked by theater, walked to Fogo, walked back, went to show, drove home.

GW Fins is close enough.
Fins is excellent. Off the radar by most but a good meal is had every time I have eaten here. More times than I can count.

GW Fins is close. Excellent meal, but pricey.
