Pimanyoli's on the 12th & 13th then Boil & Roux on the 17th & 18th. I hope Pimanyoli's works out - they are good people. As far as the BLM themed Boil & Roux - I hope your parking lot has led to your demise.

I see the FB event thing for Primanyoli's. If I were in there area I would like to go to it as I was always interested to see how it works.

Pimanyoli’s needs to advertise and probably change their name to something people can understand easier and to reflect the food.

Boil and Roux, I’d love to see him discuss political stances (either political side) and how stupid that is for a business.

I've only been to Pimanyoli's once and I thought it was solid BBQ.

Boil and Roux sucks.

It’s a place that’s not popular and not well known but often has good food reviews. They need to advertise.

Their name sounds like an Italian restaurant. And Pimanyoli’s Sidewalk Cafe doesn’t represent bbq.

Aren’t both restaurants black owned? Coincidence or will they run the episodes in February for Black History Month?

I think last season every episode was a black owned restaurant. Guess it was an order from Food Network. This also greatly impacted the show because there was no variety as probably 90% were just basic “soul food” restaurants.

I noticed that also, Pimanyoli's was once very good, we went to lunch there last week, I usually get the brisket salad, low in carbs, they brought me a smaller salad, no sin, food prices are up. But the brisket wasn't sliced thinly, so it was tough and chewy and the vegetables in the salad were fresh, a couple of weeks ago.

One unforgivable thing, if they find the kitchen is filthy, I'm never going there again. You know within 2 weeks after the show, the filth was back.

The owners names were Piman and Yoli right?

In the beginning they had good bbq, but were really just soul food. Place has always struggled to get notice.

Pimanyolis is one of Baton Rouge's best restaurants. WTF is going on that they need that show to come in?

FYI, Pimanyolis gets their tamales from Pass A Dozen in the Oak Point shopping center in Central st Greenwell Springs and Sullivan

I’m surprised Boil n Roux has lasted this long with the shitty food and service.

Is bbq what they do? I always this was a side thought to their main service. I have never been, but heard it was good but dirty.

Best chili I've ever had. I've talked to the wife too, she's good people, just needs help running the store.
