Yeah, I'm drawing a bit of a blank as well.

Alright, who bought up all the frozen Silver Queen corn at Fresh Market in Lafayette?

I had to dig deep for this challenge. I must admit corn has been a tough one. Hopefully I have time to get this dish done before Sat.

This was a very challenging... challenge!
My dish is finally coming together.
Here is Iron Chef America Battle Corn to inspire you. There are a corn-ucopia of ways to use corn... FaceBook LINK. If you want to jump ahead to the tasting portion of the competition, scroll to 30:30. I think you will be a-maize'd at their creativity.

If I was home and able to participate in the challenge I would think a dessert might make sense. Maybe sweet corn bread with a corn based ice cream

My dish was inspired by some poste made in these food challenge threads
I thought for sure I’d have something unique but some Google fu revels it has been done before sorta. I don’t care LOL.

Part 1 of my dish is tasting mighty good! Just sayin.
Posted on 1/19/21 at 8:17 pm to Darla Hood
Too bad we don't have a tasting evaluation.
Posted on 1/19/21 at 8:25 pm to BigDropper
I have to make it look as tasty as it is. That’s the trick.

Just bumping this as a reminder. Saturday is submission day.
Voting starts on Sunday morning and won’t end till Monday night, since some people only view when they’re at work.

My dish is complete. I even used some out of season Hatch Chiles too.
Now for the painstaking process of uploading pics to TD.

I was perusing and found this comprehensive list of all of the items that have been the secret ingredient in Iron Chef episodes.
May come in handy to someone as we start to make our way through the obvious ones.

I made step 1 of my dish last night, a corn cob pepper jelly.

Finished part 3 on Wednesday, but didn’t compose and photograph till yesterday. Pepper jelly sounds good!

Damnit, that would be delicious on my dish. Too bad you don't live in BR or I'd be taking some for non-competition usage on my leftovers.
