Right! They aren't burned. If you've ever made biscuits like this you know that's the best part of the biscuit(well, not really. It's all good!)those little spikes tend to get good and toasty.

My wife's favorite part of the biscuit. What recipe do you use?

I'm a high brow redneck...sometimes. And I get a pass anyway...I fricking hate scones. Wouldn't even feed that nasty British shite to my dog. I love him too much.

I've been making Bisquick biscuits like that for 25 years. Never knew they were called cat head biscuits. Always thought they were drop biscuits because you drop them from a big spoon. \
Your beans and biscuits look damn good.

Usually I would make biscuits from scratch but we had a box of Pioneer Buttermilk Biscuit Mix so I used that las night.
I used 6 cups of Pioneer mixed with 2 1/2 cups buttermilk(It calls for milk but I like using buttermilk). Mix until the ingredients are thoroughly wet(you might need a little bit more milk)Make balls and drop onto pan sprayed with baking spray and bake at 450* for 12 - 15 minutes. Watch them toward the end as you don't want them to burn or dry out. When biscuits look a light golden brown they are actually done even though they don't look it.
Like I said before I call them Cat Head biscuits because I make them big as a cat's head.
The recipe above can be cut in half and even half should make 18 biscuits but I made 12 out of the recipe above.
Enjoy!!!
