I need a good restaurant bar with TVs or something similar that has good food and atmosphere for next Saturday night. The wife (no pics) wants to go on a date night somewhere semi nice to watch LSU lose to Kentucky. Not looking for a bar that has food. More like a good restaurant with a cool bar.

Any suggestions? Thx!

You’re not going to get both. If you find a semi nice restaurant, the focus isn’t going to be the bar or sports and it won’t be a good game watching environment.

If you want a fun game watching environment, then it’s going to have to be a bar. Not a dive bar, but a bar as opposed to a restaurant.

On top of they, you’re doing this on a Saturday night so places will be crowded.

Wrong iron is a good place to watch a game but lacking on the food side.

I suggest Cooter browns. It’s a bar but has a really great game atmosphere and really good food, not just like hamburgers.

Maybe walk ons as well.

Sit in the bar area of A Tavola. They have a real nice setup. Or the patio outside even has a television.

Wrong Iron is one of the better atmospheres for LSU games but leans more towards outdoor bar/beer&Wine garden than a restaurant.

Bayou Wine Garden has a decent food menu, a nice atmosphere, and plenty of TVs. If the weather is ok I would try that, and get there a bit early.

Most "nice" restaurants don't really focus on game atmosphere.

Seafood Sally's has been doing a setup for Saints games. Not sure about LSU games.

I haven’t been in a couple of years, but Chais Delachaise had televisions. You could try giving them a call to see if they will show the game.

Port Orleans is comfortable for a game & they have a little taco place inside that’s good

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I’ll look into Chais Delchaise to see if they are open and may have the game. That’s the kind of thing I was looking for.

Lula distillery is an option I’m considering too. Station 6 if they have TVs?

They have TVs inside, but it's a little cramped (if you or your wife are CoVID-aware) and SUPER LOUD in there.

Food is great, though.

Loft 18 in Metairie. Great upscale sports bar.

It's a chain place, but Pedro's in Harahan is pretty big, has a large enough outdoor space with good food and televisions everywhere.

Swamp Room on Vets.?

Lula distillery has awful food. Do not recommend. Sounds like your wife wants a real dinner though. Elle Js in Lakeview as a solid bar space with a TV. I don't know much about their food.

There are two places in Metairie that would fit. Porter and Luke on Metairie Road and Dab's on North Hullen. Both have a long bar with multiple televisions, good drinks and good food. LSU will certainly be on.
