This is for a new restaurant that is opening up.

Does plating, regardless of price point, make a difference for you?

Doesn’t bother me at casual places, but at nice restaurants, I expect it to have some creativity

Looks like shite. Like something I’d make at home.

I go out for things I can’t do at home.

Same here, although I never made homemade onion rings at home.

And if I did, I sure as shite wouldn't have them swimming on top of a sauce, shared with asparagus.

They are trying too hard. And I hate broccoli. Hose pipe macaroni noodles is a plus.

All it is missing is a straw for the gravy Holy shite that is bad unless you are at Golden Corral and you are just cramming shite on your plate.

Why would someone ruin a steak like that?

I wouldn't have that much sauce/gravy, and wouldn't have the asparagus and onion rings in the sauce/gravy

I dont really care about plating, but since that's what you want rated I would say that's pretty bad.

If it were me. Id have the steak on a flat plate.... way less sauce, and it drizzled over it (Not poured).

Then I'd stack them against it like this.

And have the shrimp out to the side on a skewer.

Each item, by itself, looks like it could be good to eat. But the plating made me burst out laughing as soon as I opened the thread.
