I know that cottage cheese is a great thing to have as a part of one’s diet, but I really just don’t like the stuff. I’m trying to think of ways to incorporate it into dishes so that I can get more of it into my diet. Would appreciate any thoughts or recommendations.

Mix with fruit and top with sliced almonds. The crunch helps.

Do you like Greek yogurt? Maybe even better for you than cottage cheese.

Love Greek yogurt. Had it in my head that cottage cheese was better, but I’d be happy to be told I’m wrong.

I used to eat a 1/4 cup everyday at lunch with only some black pepper mixed in. Its good but high in sodium. I could see dressing it up with some garlic and other seasonings and using as a veggie dip or just putting it in a salad.

Fewer calories and more probiotics. And less sodium!

There are other products in the same family that you can try, which are just as healthy. Greek or Bulgarian yogurt, skyr, and kefir, for example.

That being said, maybe experiment with some different brands of cottage cheese? I used to not like it, but I have found a specialty brand that is much better than the standard supermarket varieties.

Less protein though.

But not a whole lot less, so why not have the one you enjoy?

I take 2 big scoops of cottage cheese, add in a pouch of tuna, douse in hot sauce and top with a lot of black pepper and mix up.

Almost every day for years now as a snack or with lunch. Ton of protein and filling without bogging me down. May be a weird combo, but it is a delicious combo

Oh, I agree. I think all of the products I listed are substantially similar health wise.

Life is to short to eat stuff you don’t like. It’s not going to add years to your life and will make the moments you eat it not worth living.

A former BIL used to make lasagna with cottage cheese sometimes instead of using ricotta. It was real hard to tell the difference.

Rick, if you're out there, make me a tray

You know, I'm tempted to say that this is gross, but I always get an odd craving for dairy after I eat tuna, so I could see how it would work.

my mom always fed us cottage cheese with fig preserves when we were kids. As gross as it sounds to me now, I used to love it
