Flackers in instead of flax seed. It worked out, and it's legal.

What is that? Where would you buy pork rinds and flax seeds anyway? What section?

Organic section. Highest milf concentration in the entire metro area where I shop.

I have to fight them off with my celery stalks. Almond flour is gonna be there too.

pork rinds at any grocery. just regular baken-ets or golden flake pork rinds. Milled flaxseed can be found at grocery. Usually can find Bob's Red Mill brand, though I got a big bag from Costco that lasts me forever.

Yeah, this stuff really could use its own thread. I'm not gonna do it though.
This stuff is gold, don't want it flying off the shelves.

Rao's won this comparison test. They tested the "Marinara" variety but the "Tomato Basil" is even better. The difference is it uses good quality whole tomatoes instead of tomato puree and added sugar.

197/186/185

Almost at my post lent goal weight but I'm about to move the goal posts after I reach it. I think 180 is within range by easter sunday. Another belt notch in the pants as well.

I actually just used the Rao's pizza sauce on my pizza I made Monday night. girlfriend turned around and used it on some meatball concoction that she made last night. that stuff is really good and the pizza sauce is 2 carbs I think. need to try some others for sure.

It's really good stuff.
I'm from a fairly frickin Italian family, and have had some really good marinara over the years. This stuff is unreal.

I could see using it in a pasta free lasagna at some point soon.

I love to thinly slice eggplant longways to imitate lasagna noodles. Thinly slice them, salt them very liberally, let them sit in a colander for 30-45 minutes, rinse and pat dry, then bake for 15 minutes. Then layer into a lasagna like pasta.. It's delicious.

eta

GF and I made our own pasta sauce recently. $3 gallon can of crushed tomatoes from Costco dumped into a pot, seasoned, and simmered for 3-4 hours. Cheap, easy, and tasty. Would be great for keto (used sparingly, of course).

Took that and cooked some ground veal that we found on sale, put it on top of spaghetti squash.. yes pls

we went to the butcher yesterday and ordered a "meat special" that had enough meat for ~72 meals. the guy just handed me a box full meat and it was glorious!

For you Keto fellas, have you had success keeping cheese in your diet?

For early in the Keto diet, you might still have the urge to snack. And cheese works great. Get some shredded cheese, whatever you like (fresh parm is awesome) and melt it on parchment paper in the microwave for 40-50 seconds. Let it cool and it turns into a crispy chip. Boom.
