I'm stuck at 219. But not that long.
Do you drink?

Every now and then. Not a daily thing. Sweets is my problem.

For early in the Keto diet, you might still have the urge to snack. And cheese works great. Get some shredded cheese, whatever you like (fresh parm is awesome) and melt it on parchment paper in the microwave for 40-50 seconds. Let it cool and it turns into a crispy chip. Boom.
Sweet thanks. Ditched my whole wheat pasta at lunch, went with straight chicken and zuchinni/squash. Just def. get cravings midway through the day.
Going for a ribeye, brussells and spinach this evening. Pretty stoked to get this going and see the results.
At what point have some of you guys tried the carb cycles? Should I stick to pretty strict protein starting out and mess with that down the road?
I figure as it warms up and I'm putting more miles on the road bike, that may be something worth looking at.
Thanks for all the thoughts here guys, really appreciate folks sharing results, stories and meals while at work.

Are you on a particular diet? What kind of sweets do you crave?

quote:No. Just try to eat healthy. Yogurt and fruit in the AM. Grilled chicken for lunch. Dinner is always different.

What kind of sweets do you crave?
Only really crave candy at the office (because there is a stash here) and on the way to and from fishing (2 hour ride).

Give it a few weeks before you mess with any carbs.
You won't even crave them anymore.

I think they say about a month or so, you really want your body to become fat adapted when creating energy,
Though I could be wrong...haha

Are you tracking your caloric intake?
It might be helpful to just bring an apple or another type of fruit with you to the office to help curb your sweet cravings. Try that out and see if you get over your weight hump.

quote:No. I've tried that multiple times but I never keep up with it. I track my food intake with a spreadsheet.

trouble keeping cheese in your diet
Not here. I buy big blocks of it and carve off huge hunk for snaks.

Find some Jarlsberg and take a run at it.
Good stuff.

Need keto court ruling on corn on the cobb.
Posted on 3/2/16 at 7:50 pm to Tiger Ryno
The nicest thing about this diet is how you feel/think. Needing to cut new holes in your belt, and seeing veins pop out of muscle is cool. We all love that. But having come to a crossroad like corn on the cob, deferring to the high court, passing on it, then feeling good about your decision is what being Ketard is all about. Most any other time, you kick yourself in the arse for not having that one little thing of whatever it is you know that's brain poison/fat pills. On keto, you don't regret not cheating. You go to bed feeling good, and wake up feeling better. I love that part.

Well said. 11 El bees in 21 days doesn't lie. I passed on the corn...I've been busting knuckles fixing a broke shower and leaky faucets for 2 days. Eff Moen and their fancy cartridges. I learned so much plumbing cap this week I should change careers. Nightcapping with uncle tito and a squeeze of lime. It fits the macros.

I been in Houston for work and couldn't check in for 2 days

Besides Tito's and splashes of lime, what other beverages do you guys go for if you've gotta have a drink.
At this age, I just can't succumb to staying at home and having that much discipline, gotta go out and chase at least 1 night/week.
TnT was my go-to but apparently I should steer clear of the tonic and move over to soda. Also can't bring myself to order a michelob light.
