I know exatly what you mean. The 200lb mark has eluded me for about 15 years. The day the scale says 199 I may cry like a little girl.

Me too. I was a freshman in high school last time I was below 200.

i was 175 about 7 years ago and an extended divorce (both the years leading up to it and the chaos during the actual event) dropped me into a funk where i just didn't care.

went to target one day to buy some slacks (yeah i'm a baller) and realized i was at the point they didnt make clothes for my size anymore.

came home and weighed and it said 257. i was horrified and decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and do something about it.

I just bought a new suit a few weeks ago and went to my normal big and tall store.

They didn't have anything that fit me. I was too small.

I'll jump into this thread now although i only wanna drop like 25

216/207/190

I've dropped 9 in January just doing portion control, running 3 days a week with pushups and lifting 1 day a week, along with some eliptical about twice a week.

Eating right is easy for me since I live alone, but now I'm taking it much more seriously

I won't be happy till I can board a plane and NOT hear each row cheer as I pass by, then the groan when I put something in their overhead.

P90X came in yesterday. I've been reading last night and some today. A lot of the eating habits will have to change. One big thing is I will have to start eating A LOT more calories than I have been. But, it looks like I will be burning a hell of a lot too, so it makes sense.

Wish me luck, this might be the death of me! lol

Good luck. Just monitor how you feel. I have no idea what that stuff does. Be careful.

Good job!

I fear you are going to kick my arse in the race to 185 and even if you don't you are definitely in far superior shape.

i'm really trying to go all out to get as much weight off by march 1 as possible. i'm probably doing horrible things to my body but oh well..

i have a feeling i'm going to stall at wherever i am come march 1 because i have to follow the eating plan on the program i'm using and its not geared to lose weight..its geared to increase your speed and so its LOADED with calories.

so i might temporarily get a jump on you..but i may stall from march - august and that will give you a chance to smoke my butt.

eta the route tomorrow is 67 miles so i'll get over 100 in this weekend..but we had a break in the weather..in the low 60s here and you gotta take advantage!!

This is something I caught myself doing a couple of weeks ago. Recieved some bad news and found myself drivng to Wendy's to drown my sorrows in a baconator when suddlenly it hit me. Using food as a crutch is a REALLY bad idea. Yeah, you might get a short rush of adrenaline but that would be quickily followed by feelings of remorse. So I rolled over to Wallyworld and purchased 5 frozen diet meals to put in the freezer at work.

With that being said a little splurge every now and then is necessary. But on the right terms.
