Funky off week, wasn't feeling up to par so I missed a few workouts and had a mid-week cheat. Feeling better and ready for a no cheat weekend. Now if I can just get my appetite under control...

I am having the exact opposite problem. I have not been hungry the last few days, and have more or less have to make myself eat. Guess it could be from a stressful week at work or anticipation of the race this weekend. Either way, I think I am losing to much this week, somewhere around 4lbs.

yeah last week I was working out like crazy and not eating enough, then I had a fast on Mon and I think I just ran myself down. Took a few days off and started eating more, now I'm feeling much better. I've been at it for 7 mos so I guess I can't complain because this is the first time I've been "sick". I think the eating more this week put my appetite in overdrive, now I don't want to stop

either of these could cause that but when you put both of them together, bingo. Are you planning a cheat meal after the race?

All is well. Braun is reporting on the weekend!

I've been hovering in the same area. My sodium this week has been through the roof. Damn butterball sodium bombs. I can't stop eating them.
Plus the office was overflowing all week with free poboys.
I guess I should be happy I am still around 170.

grrr
patience.. patience.. patience.. I've started adding cardio to the end of my workouts. I should start seeing losses. If not, I really don't know why. Portions are under control, calorie count is good, carb count is good. I'm at a loss (no pun intended).
grrr

Cooking a jambalaya that night and a few cold beers.

I get much better results to run about 2 miles before my 45 minute work out. Get your heart rate up from the first rep

someone a few pages ago said "do chronic cardio, eat right and it melts away".
From my limited base of knowledge: H, you're in the CAD zone. he can't lose because of his chronic bikitis. You have loss issues because you're doing this weightlifting/power-gain supplement program and you want chronic to cure it.
Myth lost a gaziillion because of diet only. Lately he's been doing chronic and been in flat-mode ever since.

Stop taking supplements for a week or 2 and see what happens. Specifically any type of extra protein

My mouth has been my main problem lately not my bike rides.
I was all ready to hit the store for ICE CREAM tonight but I reigned in my willpower and had some oatmeal instead.

I haven't been taking any supplements for the past week or so besides the protein, and I only take that after a workout.. I fail to see how protein is going to halt my weight loss to the point it is. Please educate me.

First 5k run in 10 years completed. Finished 26:29. Goal was for 27:00, so I'm pumped about the results. Kept each mile under 9:00 minutes. It was kinda warm as well. Next 5k, is next Sunday in NOLA. Goal will be 26:00.
