1,490 mg sodium

I've been using this for salad dressing:

Only 330mg per 2 tbsp. It's still kind of alot, but not nearly as much as some of the italian and caesar dressings out there.

yea, the "lite" I used today had over 600 mg of sodium, and I got a package of turkey instead of deli fresh so it was about 700 mg of sodium
This one

That's the trouble of going to the store at lunch time, I don't have time to plan what I'm getting or time to go to the store with a deli and get better meat.

Going tonight and stocking up on some more good, healthy eats. That 270 calorie lunch filled me up better than the Healthy Choices I've been eating for lunch.

I just started using myfitnesspal.com and I have 1,150 calories left for the rest of the day but I'm nowhere near hungry right now

I use this app as well. Great app with barcode scanner and all the other features. While we are talking about dressings, I like Newman's Own Lite Honey Mustard. 2 tbsp serving = 70 cal, 280 sodium, and 7 carbs.

I got the app on my iPad during lunch today, but I haven't used it yet, just on my laptop on the website. I love that it has nutritional facts for basically every piece of food.

I'm going to Texas Roadhouse tonight because proceeds go to Shriners, and I already planned what I'm going to get, plugged it into myfitnesspal, and still under my daily goal

Welcome aboard!

Full Blown salad dressing is typically better for you than lowfat or lite. They remove the fat but add more sugar and sodium to make up for the lack of fat.

Heck, this thread has been going on for so long I forget where I started at on the board.

Woot! I'm a 1st pager and still going strong. I was down to 247 when I joined "The Thread" and I'm at 170 this morning.

I probably shouldn't be on this list. While I did post for a while, there wasn't much weight loss going in for a year or longer. I still keep up with the thread and I'm back on the weight loss bandwagon, but I gotta get my weekends right. It does me no good to lose 3 lbs during the week only to gain it back over the weekend. My weekends are too cheat heavy.

THO3 You should look into mixing up your own salad dressing. Much cheaper and you can control the sodium. Just get some extra virgin olive oil and the vinegar of your choice

Yea, that's been my problem. I do awesome during the week, but then cheat all damn weekend so I start over, or gain a pound or two that never goes away. That's what I need to work on majorly

Interesting. Since salads are my go to for lunch during the week, this would be a huge help to cut out a ton of sodium.

The salad dressing wasn't the main culprit for the sodium. Lunch meat has insane amounts of sodium.

Cook your own meat so you can dramatically reduce the sodium.

Well the dressing was about 600 mg and the turkey was 700 mg so they both were bad

I gained, which is kinda weird, I ate less calories yesterday than I had at any other point on the diet. However since I had to get a blood test at 1:00 yesterday all my calories were after 5:00.
