If you are working out, it is muscle.

If you aren't it could be some sodium related water gain or just some random water retention.

Or...

You ate too much.

Wasn't eating to much. 1,700 calories or less a day. Have been going to the gym, so let's go with that one.

As your muscles repair, your body stores extra water in the repair process.. give it a few days, it'll drop off. Although if you work out hard every few days you'll see the weight stay higher than it should be, but if you stop working out for 2-3 days and then weigh, you'll see your true weight.

Bought two new suits today, went from a 52L to a 46L. The pounds have slowed but I'm building muscle and the inches continue to come off.

Q_Q I hang my head in shame tonight

I was in a rush to get to work so I didn't have time to cook food and get everything ready like I normally do.. had hot wings earlier in the day, and when I got to about 10 pm at work I realized I didn't have food.. so I ordered pizza

It was freaking delicious though.

Ok guys, after months of telling myself I need to diet, I'm finally joining the action. Jumped on the scale yesterday and saw a number I never thought I'd see.

I've been at 195 for awhile, but when 200 popped up, I wasn't happy. I started Couch to 5K yesterday because of it and started reading through this thread, at page 6 now, great stuff guys. Myth

So starting at 200, my goal is to get to what was my best shape which was 165-170 when I was about 20.

I'll post more when I get to the store and check my calories after today. Let's do this

we're human.

you need a relief valve periodically.

you're doing fine. what's important is to continue your normal style of eating *even when you think its useless*

if i cheat and eat a a quart of homemade ice cream..if i end up having a sweet tooth later in the day, i'll grab some sugar free candy because its HABIT.

the old me would say 'frick it i'm not in ketosis anyway so i'll eat a hershey bar'

its mental..of course its not doing me any good to eat that handful of sugar free chocolate covered peanuts, but you're already 'on the road' back to your low carb eating.

anyway..that works for me. ymmv imo imho piihb tl;dr togtfo

TH03, CAD hooked us up with some good info on fasting, look back say around 20 pages. Its Brad Pilons Eat Stop Eat program. I've been doing this once a week, last week I did 2, 24 hr fasts and it helps me when I get stuck at a certain weight.Good luck!

Will do! Thank you

I've been interested in this and the metabolic confusion to help when I inevitably hit a plateau.

Welcome to the board. I havent been a part of it for long, but there is a lot of good information in this thread and always good answers to any question you may have. The couch to 5K method is a good one. They will seem a little easy at first, but dont try to skip or do more then it recommends. Results will come. Good luck

It was brutal yesterday because I was sore as hell from putting up 20 fence posts on Saturday, but my dog was running with me and I couldn't let her show me up.

I've heard nothing but good things about C25K so I'm excited about it. The Mrs. will be joining me tonight, so I'm sure it will be more fun to make it a thing we do together.
