I would imagine any hot wings from any place are going to be bathed in salt.

Is this now the longest running thread in TD history?

Looks like I should have a good weigh-in this week for the office competition. knock on wood....I'm down 3 with 3 days to go until the weigh-in.
I probably just jinxed myself. Last week, I hit a weekly low on Sunday only to mysteriously gain 2 phantom pounds before the weigh-in.
I pulled the trigger and bought the components for a new computer yesterday so that competition money would help pay for part of it. That should add some extra incentive not to cheat now that the computer is on the card.
I do have a cheat coming up next weekend. A friend from LA is headed out of New Orleans on a cruise next weekend so we will be going out to eat Friday night. I'm not real good at eating out and behaving. I'll try to stick to a salad but as Cad has mentioned before, a restaurant salad can be almost as bad as the worst dish on the menu some places.

Get back to work. There has been some serious slacking by the long termers since Christmas. Don't use Mardi Gras as an excuse to coast until the end of February.

contemplating a CADfast as penance for another carb-sodium fest weekend. good news is the bday cake is finally gone. bad news is the meals were so off the charts I skipped Sat/Sun weighins and didn't bother with mfp.
eta: i decided to put off the fast for another day

slight bounce from unexpected cheat meals with relatives, actually lost a pound from ystdy morning. I did low carb ystdy so I'm thinking just a water thing. Yes time for CADfast, this will be my third week in a row to do this and I always lose 2 lbs

Bah, got drunk and cheated.
It's been a rough going for me since Xmas. All self-inflicted, of course.

Mexican Food Themed Birthday Party bit me on the arse last night. My big loss week evaporated. Up 1.2 from Sunday.
At the same time, one of the competitors finally got serious and ran all weekend and dropped 5.
The competition is heating up!

having trouble in the discipline area, but not the guilt area. I know my religion.

took the kids snow skiing and we were 'trapped' all day with at the ski lodge and their really really bad food. the good news is the slopes open at 10am and close at 3AM!! the bad news is you get hungry being out in the cold all day and tend to overeat.
back on the wagon..

While the cheating went as planned over the weekend nothing else went as planned. My grandmother was in the hospital since last Thursday. She was brought home Saturday night because there was nothing else they could do for her. Lots of comfort eatig has commenced since then.
I did a fast yesterday and am back on track today. Figured I'd try to be good until the services. Nothing is worse than being with someone on their deathbed.

Myth, tell me about your biggest loser contest at work. I'm thinking about starting one at work and don't really know what to do.

Pretty simple. There is a $20.00 entry fee and the person with the lowest loss or biggest gain each week adds $5.00 to the pool. Biggest loser takes the pot at the end. It is of course the biggest percentage loser.
We weigh-in every Wednesday and you have to have a witness.
All keys, wallets and phones out of the pockets on weigh-in. You might even want to have people weigh wearing the same clothes.
That is how we do it. Some offices actually put up a prize to try and give their employees incentive to lose weight.

How long are you running the contest?

12 weeks.
That's what I was thinking. It also coincides with my son's wedding. What perfect timing!
Thanks for the info!

Timing feels right for a CADfast. I've been cheating a lot, and luckily not really gaining (probably because I've been working out.). I ate dinner, had my protein, and now I think I will fast throughout tomorrow until 7 PM. I'm going to buy a gallon of water and drink a lot of water. Hopefully tomorrow is really busy at work so time flies.
