Just checking in... havent posted since April

147/125/120

I've been maintaining at 125 after loosing about 20 pounds. I haven't really put in 100% effort since April when I went on a cruise. The lowest I've been was 118 right before the cruise. I think I'm finally ready to make that push to loose and keep off the last 5.

While I've been in this maintenance stage I still weigh myself every morning. It helps keep me honest and when i get to 127/128 I know I need to have a few good low carb days. I've also been keeping up with exercise doing 25 minutes of HIIT running outside every other day. Having kept up regular exercise for over a year is probably what I am most proud of with this whole thing...I DESPISED exercising before I decided to loose weight.

Even though I'm not posting much, I do read the thread pretty much every day. Keep up the good work everyone!

won't be able to do that. the gramercy exit is closed and under water.

take 3127 to sunshine bridge and you will get back on i-10 at exit 182.

Ahhhh. Don't tell me that! I leave for a cruise in 7 days and am getting nervous about not going overboard with the food. I plan to exercise for about 30 minutes a few times to try to help myself out. I want and WILL enjoy myself I just dont want to undo all my hard work.. Any tips?

And welcome back!

I haven't posted in a while, but I hit a new low this morning!

150/119/115

So close! I will be looking great on my cruise in 3 weeks!

I'm kinda frustrated though... I'm really happy with the way my body is right now but I want to loose those last few more so that when I incorporate more carbs I balance out at 120. I know I should keep going, but I'm tired of focusing so much energy on dieting. And my motivation is waning more because I have a big birthday weekend planned coming up. Sigh.
I had a wedding cake cupcake from there. It was alright. Nothing special in my book. I will be returning to try more flavors.

My initial problem is their price. $3.50 (after tax) for a single cupcake is crazy. I know the place at the mall sells for that price, but their cupcakes are significantly bigger. Sweet wishes is only $2.50. I think they need to lower prices (they are marketing to college kids here) or make them bigger.

Just my $.02.

Honestly, last year Great American Cookie Company were selling cookie cakes by the slice...that wins easily IMO

thats my vote too. Went to a game last weekend and didn't see them and subsequently became pretty bummed.

I'm in the same boat... Doing a fast today so the damage on the scale isn't as noticeable tomorrow am

After a week Of comfort eating its back to work tomorrow. Ill be making the 4 hour drive back to Ruston tomorrow and it's a good time for me to do a fast.

I'm glad cad found all the research on the benefits of a 24 hour fast. Usually when I have to make the drive to or from Ruston I usually don't eat those days anyway so I'm glad to have proof that it helps.

While the cheating went as planned over the weekend nothing else went as planned. My grandmother was in the hospital since last Thursday. She was brought home Saturday night because there was nothing else they could do for her. Lots of comfort eatig has commenced since then.

I did a fast yesterday and am back on track today. Figured I'd try to be good until the services. Nothing is worse than being with someone on their deathbed.

I won't be cheating with canes... But I will be doing some serious cheating, albeit planned cheating. I've been good for 3 whole weeks!

I'm going home this weekend which will include dinner with friends, commanders palace on Saturday night, and kiddie birthday party on Sunday, which means cake! Boy, do I love cake :)

I'll be a lost cause this weekend... But the rest of you BE GOOD!

The fast worked well... Down 2lbs this am from yesterday am.

Glad to hear the fast worked for you. I'm in the middle of one now. Started at 7pm last night. I will get out of class tonight around 7:30 so I will eat after that. I hope to have similar results!

The reason I decided to commit to a fast is because the scale has been driving me nuts the last few days. I have literally dropped .6 then added .6 then dropped .6 then added .6. It's so annoying. I'm tryig to break 122 so I can say ive hit the 25lb loss mark. I think the scale knows this bc it won't go lower than 122.2 stupid thing! /rant

reading up on the fudge bars. Only have 3g net carb... forgot to subtract sugar alohol.

So I've added two new "staples" to my food choices. The first is mission carb balance tortillas... 3g net carbs per tortilla. I have used them for sandwiches, etc. The second I found yesterday. It is a carbsmart FUDGESICLE made by breyers. It has 8g net carbs, 3g sugar, 5g alcohol sugars. Are any of you familiar with these items? I kinda feel like they are too good to be true...
