good stuff Hulk!

225/200.1/175

I was hoping the scale would a little bit more down so I could be halfway towards the goal .

Summer School has been a blessing this year because I have to trek from my class in Audobon to the Rec back to my parking spot on Nicholson, it adds a little extra exercise for me. Now when its middle of July however, I'll probably hate it.

You are at a higher weight because you have been stuffing your face. I have been good (not one cheat since I started on 2/12). That's just not fair.

I have been riding about 50 to 60 miles a week too. Which of course is what keeps making me so ravenously hungry.

At the moment it appears I will hold steady with 1300 calories today. I still need to get out on my ride, but I'm waiting until 6:30.

GOOD GOD

WHY HAVE I NOT HAD WHIPPED CREAM FROM A CAN BEFORE

virtually no carbs, low fat, low calories
I bought a can of it and put it on some peanut butter on a spoon and ate it.. holy crap. What a great way to sate a sweet tooth.

I put some on some sugar free jello last night, and it was pretty awesome. Low carb and low calorie. Perfect for all diets.

200/187/170

Lost another pound last week, which is nice. Gonna buckle down and try to get to 180 in the next 4-6 weeks. I've been working on the road the last few weeks in a small town, which doesn't leave many options for lunch, but being on my feet all day long, i'm still losing so I'll take it. Congrats, hulk for hitting the big 40! and of course, good job to all that have stuck with dieting.

Reddi-whip has little sugar (in the nutritional info anyway) in it already. I got the extra creamy kind.

It's freaking delicious. I used to not like whipped cream, I wonder if that's just due to me not having sugars anymore I can taste the sweetness more now?

227.2

0.6 more to hit the 40 lb mark. I really want to hit it by tomorrow. I lost 0.8 yesterday, so it's possible.

When did you start dieting? I started 2/26 and you're right on my heels.. I wish I lost weight more fluently.

I started right after you (3/9).

ETA: Keeping up with you has actually been one of my goals. We both have a lot to be proud of.

The competition will help us both! Unfortunately for me you'll be done a lot sooner than I. But quite honestly I don't even need motivation anymore aside from the times I feel like cheating. It's become so natural to eat low carb.. I've learned how to better read nutrition labels and what to eat/not eat if I must go out. It's just easy.

Food for thought:
best weight loss diets

I am of the belief that you should do what works for you.

disclaimer: I did lose 25 lbs. last year using Weight Watchers. I'm still trying to get down one more size but am doing that without counting points and by exercising more.

I'll let you know how that works for me.

I think that's going to be a subjective list. There are tons of people on Atkins (if followed properly) that have lots and lots of weight, I believe it's the fastest way to lose weight since you burn fat for energy.. The thing is most people don't follow Atkins or diets to a T. And a lot of people are going to try to downplay low carb diets because they're largely viewed as unhealthy by people who are ignorant to what a low carb diet is really about.

But basically the same can be said about any diet (excluding the downplaying part)

(for those of us who still eat it)

here we go :

i like this Northwest (Fla) Beach Diet I'm on.

No scale, no cares, no cheats, no guilt. Unfortunately it has to end Saturday morning on the scale.

you 40 lb/3 month guys are damn strong losers.

Good to hear. I'll be doing that diet for a week in late July/early August.

I find that I don't like a lot of high carb things anymore and I feel physically bad when I cheat. I feel much better on low carb. My problem is I eat too many calories to lose weight because I still like food.

I'm the opposite as far as calories. I have a hard time eating enough, that's why I don't limit myself to 20g carbs. I eat extra stuff like hummus, extra veggies, etc, to increase my caloric intake.
