I know right, all part of Stern's master plan to make the Hispanic market love him by having a team win 4 titles and go to numerous conference finals by utilizing non-Hispanic international talent. And let's not forget Stern's insidious plan to make the world love team basketball and disregard star power by having Detroit appear in 2 finals and winning one! You operate on such a higher plane than I dear sir.

Sentimentally, I want to see Duncan obtain his 5th ring, but I think Miami wins it in 7... unless Manu finally decides to get his skill back from the Monstars that stole it.
Mike Bibby and Miles Simon
And I can't lie when I was younger I thought Khalid El-Amin would be the best player pro that UConn team.
I'm not a Liverpool fan, but man, Jose Enrique is an entertaining player to watch.
They released War in Russia for free at their website, LINK
There should be a download link on that page.

I don't know about Gettysburg. I've always had a hard time finding downloads of old Sid Meier and Firaxis games (Wheres my Sim Golf damnit!)

re: Going to 1st BR Capitals game

Hi, I am the Statistician for the BR Caps. And if you do decide to come to the game here are some of the interesting storylines to watch for.

- BR is 4 points out of the playoffs with 2 games remaining (West Texas and NO), due to our bad goal differential the only way to get in is to win the next two games including against the rival NO jesters (which would subsequently knock them out of the playoffs)

-Players to watch on BR:
Justin Portillo, M - Absolute Wizard with the ball, local product (Grace King), was called up for USMNT Trials
Achille "H" Campeon, F - French Striker that is one of the leading goalscorers on BR and has a knack for flair.
Kyle Wood, D - Doesn't show up on the stat sheet but he hustles like his life depends on it

- Our resident superfan sits near the pressbox and hands out tons of nosiemakers. It's the place to be if you want to cheer and yell.

AS for the game being cancelled i haven't heard anything yet. May start 15 minutes late If i had to guess.

I have been watching the MLS alot the past couple of weeks and Ronaldo just blew my mind completely. Do La Liga games ever come on TV?

 good stuff Hulk!

225/200.1/175

I was hoping the scale would a little bit more down so I could be halfway towards the goal  .

Summer School has been a blessing this year because I have to trek from my class in Audobon to the Rec back to my parking spot on Nicholson, it adds a little extra exercise for me. Now when its middle of July however, I'll probably hate it.
As much as I like watching Dirk there is a pretty glaring hole in his rebounding.

Post 98-99 Lockout (the year Dirk broke into the league) Dirk is 4th overall with 20 pt 10 rebound games.
1 Tim Duncan 416
2 Kevin Garnett 403
3 Shaq 329
4 Dirk 293
5 C-Webb 223
(Dwight Howard has 210 for those interested)

Anyway, if dig deeper and look at the 20-10 games with 1 or less Offensive rebound

1 Dirk 145
2 KG 77
3 Paul Pierce 45
4 Lebron 42

In almost half of Dirks 20/10 games does not do work on the offensive glass.

It felt good when I looked at the scale today and saw that I had lost 20lbs since March.

Hulk: Thanks for the Linda's low carb website, it definitely has brought some variety to my dinners!
Bump for the Bulls loss. Which one of the young teams bounced( Bulls or Thunder) do not make it back to the conference finals in 3 years? My guess is the Thunder some crazy Durant/Westbrook clash where Westbrook leaves and Durant mirrors KG's struggles to make it past the first round.
If I'm not mistaken it was the 04-05 Season.
I got bored today and decided to look at what happens to teams after they lose the conference finals. I looked at every conference finals loser since the 16 team NBA playoff structure came into place in 83-84. For the 2 teams in each year I then looked at the next 3 years and recorded what round of the playoff they reached. Here are some of the results and interesting things I noticed.

Notes on Picture:
HIT - in 3 years got farther than the C Finals
PUSH - Got to the C Finals again and nothing more.
MISS - Did not get to C-Finals again in 3 years.

That only 12 of the 25 champions viewed in this manner got a ring after losing in the finals 3 years before.

If anything seems amiss ask me.

The biggest question is, where might Durant and the loser of the east wind up after this is all said and done. Nearly 50% of teams don't make a return trip in 3 years.

If the lockout is an extended one, can Kendrick Perkins please work for the WWE or be a action movie super villain.
Even their backups were crazy.

7-Footer Ha-Seung Jin fought a Euro Big named Nedzad Sinanovic during Blazers training camp one year. Ha got clocked good in the mouth before they were separated screaming "I'll sue! I'll sue!".

After separated however, Ha came back on the attack swinging a large wooden stick and trying to beat Nezdad.

The only teams that didn't really have win with a superstar besides the one you mentioned was the Sonics team that won near the end of 70's. Though i'm sure Peej will bring up the great team effort that 47-48 Baltimore Bullets used to win the BAA.(Kleggie Hermsen only shot .277 from the field and got 1 apg, but he wasn't a hog like Bron was )

You have to have some transcedent talent to win. If the rumors about the new CBA being more favorable for teams to keep talent by being able to pay more than free-agent destinations, then the Pacers have to try to draft and trade well. But they are a playoff team, so drafting is pretty much a crapshoot at that point.

I wish this game wasn't on ESPN so I wouldn't have to hear Jalen Rose make really bad forced rap references.
If Serge continues to put up double doubles the Thunder will go far. Harden and his beard is showing up as well.
Come on man, we are going off of Fiba stats now? lord. You know who balls like a man on a mission in FIBA: Hamed f'in Haddadi, and I don't see him lighting up any scoreboards in the league.
Scola is good and efficient, but he is not Top 5.
