How many little old ladies with walkers passed you up today?

I hooked up a gizmo to the back of my bike so when those old ladies start coming up from the rear I push a button and 3% off Piccadilly coupons drop from my bike.
That keeps them from passing me.

Ok here is a "what would you do" for everyone. The scale is finally moving again but I find myself getting on a five day cruise this upcoming Monday. Is it possible to not gain weight in a situation like this?!
I am very afraid.

Possible but hard. I would maybe set a certain number of cheat meals and drinks and try to stick to it. You paid for a cruise so you need to enjoy it. Maybe good dinner and drinks each night and low cal lunch and breakfast with some walking or exercise classes each day. But not too much, it is a vacation.
The key to success is getting back on that damn horse after a fall, so enjoy the cruise and if the scale beats you up when you get back, just don't use that as an excuse to quit.

No.
Just kidding, is it possible? Sure, but unless you are an OT baller and take vacays 14 times a year, why don't you just relax, enjoy your vacation, and GET BACK ON THE HORSE on day 6? Make the best decisions you can while still enjoying yourself. If you are in it for the long haul, 5 days is not going to break you. I went totally off the grid for 2 weeks after the ttown tornados, and never gained....I didn't lose much but still....I got back on the horse, and voila...losing again. YOU MUST GET BACK ON....You have lost 57 pounds....I doubt you have to worry about it...Reward yourself for a job well done...keep it reasonable...

Good solid advice from everyone just as expected from this thread. Will indulge a bit. But this will be tempered with physical activity as a funny thing has happened. When you lose 57 pounds you actually ENJOY moving around more.
Keep up the good work everyone!

Day, eat what you want. It only took a few days to drop my 5 lb Birthday bump. Besides eating and drinking is pretty much the only reason to go on a cruise.
Congrats Roll on the -50 mark.

Thanks...
How does it feel to be 3 pounds from the goal? Jeebus, I can't even imagine being that close. I think I would eat a thousand cupcakes in celebration and be fat again.

I am marinating a chicken in Busha Browne's Jamaican Jerk rub, some extra Jamaican allspice, smoked paprika, 3 minced Thai peppers for added heat, garlic, balsamic vinegar, fresh thai basil, fresh sage, fresh thyme, fresh rosemary, and a tiny pinch of sea salt. I am gonna let it sit for at least two days then rotisserie it on the grill over some pecan wood. It should be so spicy that y'all will feel the heat all the way over in Louisiana.
Cannot wait!
Myth, love the Picadilly coupon idea.

Roll, I've hit this mark three times in the last few weeks. Had a few panic cheats plus the Bday gala.
I might re-target to 147 because I've still got some air in the spare.

Thanks to ChenierauTigre for turning me on to this board.
Hope this helps me stay on course. CT, that chicken sounds awesome.
In Dec. I checked in to a hospital with congestive heart failure. I was at 351 lbs.
Today I am working out at an MMA gym taking kick boxing and Wing Chun Kung Fu. Watching what I eat and am at 302. The heart ablation has given me a second chance and it feels good to be getting into shape. All the young fighters call me Da Avalanche. Fun stuff and it helps motivate me.

we've all been there. i started out around 260..so about 40 or so from where you are now.
Posted on 5/29/11 at 11:26 pm to CAD703X
260 was my initial goal. Once I get there, I will re-evaluate. I noticed your sig line. Why is that and what is considered "long" cardio?
