Speaking of blood work.........have to get this done becase I am standing on a plateu that is just cannot get past. Been weighing 204 for 6 weeks! My calorie intake stays around 1200 a day and my workout routine consist of 45 minutes of light to moderate weights and 30 minues of cardio at least 4 days a week.

My doctor mentioned something about Insulin Resistance a few years back. Wondering if this could be the prolem. hmmmmmm

D85, don't get too upset, if i had to guess, you're probably in the best shape in years. your nonplateau is just proof that your doing it right cuz your not gaining either.

220/214/150 going to start entering my foods eaten on spark people as of yesterday. Made it through Chinese food after graduation last night and only ate broccoli (I can't eat meat from Chinese restaurants- I ordered chicken and broccoli but could not make myself eat the chicken). I know I am eating too many carbs and want to make sure of my calories so I am sure sparkpeople will help. I picked that one because I have used it before.

be careful with veggies from chinese buffets...worse than candy...they've boiled all the nutrients out and coat them with sugary flour sauce...its not just sodium but the unreal amount of sugar that makes u hungry again an hour later once the sugar spike is over.

verrry verry careful. I'd advise ordering them fresh. Pretty much anything Chinese or Italian you'll have to stay away from in restaurants, and if you cook Chinese or Italian at home, it's not going to be the same (although I can make a hell of a stir fry!)

363/329/250

34 lbs down I won't have my scale with me til Tuesday so I'm sure I will drop another pound or two when I wake up tomorrow morning but I won't be able to til til Tuesday.

I seem to "cycle" a loss every 9 days. So if this is constant, I can look forward to a loss on Sunday, May 22... But I'm planning a cheat this weekend so that may not happen or may work out differently.

H, congrats on getting to 329 before the trip to grandma's. You know she'll think your too skinny and will want to feed you seconds and thirds.

haha

Well it's also my brother's HS graduation tonight and I'm sure we'll be going out to eat, so I think I'll tell grandma I'm sticking to my diet at her house and use my cheat day at the restaurant, depending on where we go.

I had broccoli and chicken off the "diet" menu. It was the best choice at the time. My daughter graduated high school last night and wanted Chinese food so it was the best I could do in a pinch.

I'm not familiar with sparkpeople but myfitnesspal is very easy to use and also has decent charting.

I'm gonna pass you too.

Been on the road for a few days. No cheating, but didn't get my water down and consumed a lot of salt. Scared to get on the scale tomorrow.

congrats CT

this is the way I see it.

I'm 240/226/199.

I've been in the 230-235 range the last 6 years majority of the time.

Now that i'm below 230 for awhile, i'm not going back guaranteed.

As Disney would say:
33's are going to join the 34's in the Vault.
Coming soon - 31's and a new belt.

Next week exercise will return to the mix as my sinus flood waters are beginning to recede.

eta: 13 down since Disney/Mardi Gras and 6 down since Easter. Definitely cheating for my Bday this week.

Didn't cheat yesterday. We didn't go out to eat. My godmother had us all over and she cooked some amazing spaghetti. I just put some of the sauce on a salad. Managed to stay clear of the cake and ice cream as well. Lots of willpower last night lol. A cheat actually isn't looking likely anymore, grandma is cooking a roast and not going eat out anywhere

Just wanted to vent really quick. My grandma irritated the hell out of me. I told her I want to fit into a large shirt and wear 36s in pants. She started the "too small" stupid babble. She said Im a big guy so those sizes aren't realistic and I should hope for 42s in pants or 40s at the smallest. I looked at her like she's stupid and said "you realize im wearong 44s as we speak right? Ill be in 42s by the time I hit 300 pounds. That's still way too heavy. I want to be 220." She kept babbling about how I can't be that small. Ignorance pisses me off

hulk i'm sure she means well..but i feel your pain.

i met with a personal trainer at the gym a year ago when i was 257 and he was prescribing all this stuff for me after doing a fit test. he told me that i needed to accept the fact that with lots and lots of hard work i *might* see 218-220 but that was it. he laughed out loud at me when i told him my goal was to get under 200. i politely thanked him and said i would get back to him on his $100/mo personal training fee. asswipe.

as locke from lost would say "DONT TELL ME WHAT I CANT DO!"

u ought to get back to that asshat and let him know how wrong he was.

I seem to recall someone in this thread telling me I was probably done and wouldn't lose anymore weight. That was at least 33 pounds ago.
