If they ask for more, just tell them to file insurance and send you a bill. They should be OK with that, and if not, you need a new doc.

Might not be that serious, but I'd go get it checked out ASAP.

One more tidbit- I think you can charge off your Mom's credit card. Call the company and see what they say.

That card is closed also. Just owe on it.

And it should be mentioned this only happens when I wake up from an alarm or wake up early, if I sleep until I wake up naturally I don't have this problem.

You folks are making me homesick (that's where I get ignored the best). One pound away from 50 down, and not even one attaboy. Seriously Hulk need to get that blood sugar checked, have a BIL who had similar symptoms, and it was a easy fix on his sugar level.

Good job shaw.

Hulk's shakes had us all so concerned that we were blind to anything else.

ATTABOY!

Yeah, it may be sugar level. Just so weird that it stops soon after I get up.

hulk and others..i've probably been doing the low carb thing longer than anyone on here and here are a few observations:

- CT..regarding late night calf cramps...take a vitamin supplement with potassium or find some foods that contain it..there are low-carb foods with a good deal of potassium and you might want to keep some powerade zeros on hand..those are great for electrolyte replacement (including K). i used to go from completely asleep to JUMPING OUT OF BED at the first tingle of a charlie horse and putting my leg solid on the ground..i think my HR jumped from 60 to 140 in about 4 seconds flat too

- protein really is your friend. its possible as you move from a high sugar/carb diet to high protein you might experience weird stuff with your poops, breath, etc. but it goes away. its all part of your body saying WTF but you will get adjusted to the new fuel and you'll never feel better.

- dont cheat by eating a package of M&Ms or anything..trust me it might taste good but about 20 minutes later you'll want to throw up from the nausea. thats nature's way of saying THIS CRAP IS NOT GOOD FOR YOU DUDE.

- you can workout just as hard and long as anyone who insists you have to eat alot of carbs to do anything for an extended period of time. poppycock. 100 miles up 3 mountains on a bicycle on virtually an empty stomach says THEY ARE WRONG.

- if you gotta cheat, do it smart..eat some fruits or berries for your sweet fix. not only are they good for you and satisfy your sweet-tooth, but they really won't have an impact on your diet..in fact i recommend keeping some kind of berries in the house at all times for 'emergencies'...if you have the tools to whip your own cream (those little co2 devices) with splenda that is also good with berries..but the 'extra creamy' whipped cream isn't horrible either if u need something sweet with your berries.

- speaking of snacks, jerky (watch out for meats cured with excess sugars), nuts, seeds, cheese sticks, pork rinds and coffee can sooth just about any attack of the munchies..and again..won't really mess up your eating.

- i was told i got kidney stones from eating too much protein, but actually i had been eating for several years like a pig (HIGH CARB comfort foods) to make up for a nasty divorce i was going through. once i sorted that out and switched to low carb, i passed the kidney stone maybe 2 months after changing to a high-protein diet. i've not had *ANY* problems since..and i eat the hell out of some ribeyes..i average 6 or more ribeyes a week.

- dont be horrified at eating a scoop of butter (or that butter/olive oil spread that land of lakes makes)..better to eat a quick bite of HARDCORE FAT to kick your system in fat-burning mode than a handful of m&ms or something. yeah it sounds gross..but butter is basically just a more solid version of whipped cream and i know y'all eat the hell out of that here

cad you didn't mention a think about my shakiness. I don't think it's caused by atkins, and the progression could easily be because it's just been happening for too long.

Mr. Cad, I have noticed that you don't post your weight very often anymore.

323/191.1/185

Would love to bust the 190 barrier, but that isn't going to happen soon.

The crawfish boil tomorrow will not be pretty. I have my feedbag all hooked up and I am ready to chow down.

Hulk, I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express, but I do know you should get a checkup. or Perhaps you need an earlier bedtime if it only happens with the alarm.

That's a lot of body to be moving and shaking uncontrollably. Meaty could get hurt. (jk)

not a very good week this past week, too many distractions (kids at home, etc) and i haven't been in a very good groove. hopefully the next 2 weeks will bring a nice change..i have 2 really hard rides coming up and a race. i'm going to avoid teh ham tomorrow..been muching on ham lately and it makes me very thirsty so i think i'm bloated from the sodium. going to have a good hard ride tomorrow morning..hopefully we'll see a good weigh in come sunday.

Don't forget. Those peanut butter rabbits are allowed and even recommended by Atkins so be sure to have a ton of them on Sunday.

Good lord the river stinks right now. The last 10 days after my rides, I have smelled like rotting carcase mixed with Mississippi river sludge.

Where did this come from?

eta
Oh because I overate. Yeah. First people tell me I'm not eating enough and my response is when I do eat 1500+ cals I'm stuffed and feel like I'm overeating.. so did I REALLY overeat or did I get what I'm supposed to?

jk I was stuffed. I know, I tried not to. I actually only ate one plate, but when I went back to the kitchen to clean off that one plate.. a new fork made it's way into the pot

Oh it is the river, but I may be adding to the noxious mix.
