welcome aboard. remember this day. the reason we're all here is because we'e trying to get away from that "most we've ever been" place. I've heard that I can be e-controlling at times so ignore me.

Hadn't checked in a few weeks.Still been doing fairly well. As in an earlier post, I too boiled crawfish last saturday for the first time this season. Had some friends in for the weekend from Mobile. I woke up this morning to my lowest weight to date. 245.6/216.5/205(or less). Have adjusted my goal weight down 10lbs. My office has a biggest loser contest going and the final weigh in is this Friday. Cash money payouts for the top 3 finishers($500/$300/$200). I was in 3rd place at the last weigh in 3 weeks ago.

OK, didn't know if it was some sort of middle weight where everyone posted...

I guess I'll wait until I lose a few until I bother posting the trifecta. Not really sure what my goal is going to be but I'll start with a preliminary goal of 190

I tried to keep up with you and let you block the wind, but you were moving too darn fast with your fancy carbon fiber walker.

Don't know about actual lunches but when I was doing low carb I used to bring a few different varieties of cheese sticks for a snack.

There is a thread on this forum that addresses your question more specifically

Personally I just cook something and eat on that for a couple of days. My George Foreman grill is also my best friend. Grill stuff fast as hell, quick meals. That's about it. If you're in a real bind and you have to eat fast food, KFC grilled chicken isn't too bad. You can also grab 2 McD's double cheeseburgers and ask for them only lettuce no buns.. But don't do that often.

Welcome aboard Powerman. P.S. how does this avatar suit you? Do I look like an idiot still?

- if u have a grill; make some skinless/boneless thighs the night before (you can pick up a pack of like 8 for $3 or so..super cheap) and stick 2 or 3 in a tuperware

- smoothie king has great low-carb shakes although $$$ ($4 for a 20oz..sheesh). my favorite is the banana. you can even ask them to put one small chunk of an actual banana in it and it really makes it taste delicious without adding much sugar

- hard cheeses (like jalesburg) are delicious to munch on at lunch

- i try to avoid the supermarket salads (like at whole foods) because even though i only load it up with lettuce and a couple of meat items..it seems i'm always up a pound or 2 the next day..i think those salad bars are sodium bombs.

- later on OWL to get u through the day, i've often bought those '2 for $1' planters peanuts and i'll eat one bag (300 calories or so) if i'm really hungry and need to pull the ripcord

honestly the best thing is to get up from your desk and make some trips around the office to get your blood flowing. that...followed by a cup of coffee has gotten me through more 'hunger' moments than anything.

i skip lunch these days (i know..not for everyone) but it works quite well. i know going home every day i've only had maybe 400 calories total (from coffee and my ubiqutius morning protein/atkins bar) so i plan to have a nice up-to-1000 calorie meal when i get home and i'm still *WELL* under my calorie threshold of 1500 even with a nice meal.

170/159/150

Since the recommit, a typical lunch for me is a tyson mesquite chicken breast or leftover fresh grilled chicken. nuked. 2 cups romaine, Tbsp low fat vinegarette, V-8 low sodium juice and bag of Nut-rition South beach blend nuts. 16 oz water.
about 375 cals, 15 carbs and under 500 sodium.

Just walking into McD's gives you more carbs and sodium than that.

Started interval sprints today ala primal blueprint, unfortunately my old man sprint is a young man jog. Feels good an hour after the collapse though.

I got frustrated trying Couch to 5K. After reading Sisson, I realized I don't want to be a long distance runner, I just want to lose weight and get in shape. Tool shed is shrinking, unfortunately so is ...

you might have to change your name.

Actually alcohol is the one area I've yet to address. There's only so much I can give up.
