Did you put it backwards or did you gain weight?

If you put it backwards, then congrats!

If you gained weight, then sorry :(

I've been following this thread for a few weeks now, so I guess I might as well chime in myself.

Started P90X last Monday, so today makes 1 week.

278/267/215

I realize 11 lbs in 1 week is pretty unusual, and borderline unhealthy. But I think it's an accurate depiction of my drastic change in eating habits and exercise.

Not really. First week you'll lose lots because you drop lots of fluids, or "water weight". Everyone's weight loss is different. As long as you're eating enough to accommodate energy with that exercise (p90x is intense) and you still lost 11 pounds, it's not really unhealthy.

It's this coming weekend.

ETA: Can you believe my wife brought home a dozen Krispy Kreme's last night?

I didn't partake, but that was the first real challenge so far.

Didn't weigh in this morning.. Slept at someone's house last night and when I got home I forgot to weigh before I ate and everything. I'm thinking of just doing weekly weigh ins

Nah, I lost quite a bit my first week of P90X as well. I'm in week 7 now and it's not dropping like that first week. Once you start building some muscle it seems to almost offset the fat loss (at least for me). Good luck on the workouts! I didn't see measurable results physically until week 2 and 3. The body is ever changing now...

That's better anyway Hulk. Right now, daily is fine because the lbs. are flying off. When the weight loss slows a little, daily fluctuations can be frustrating.

I differ in opinion on the scale issue.

Weighing in after a week and not having a loss can be more devastating than the daily fluctuations.

At least if you see it daily you know you are on a stinking plateau and you can make an adjustment if needed.

But that is just me. Everyone has a different take on the "when to weigh" issue. Some do it daily, some weekly, some bi-weekly and some monthly.

In my race with cad, I would do it by the minute if it would show me a 185 before he hits it.

I didn't say I did it weekly, just that it may be better for him. Hell, sometimes I weigh before and after a good crap just to see if it had any effect.

I definitely look forward to the scale the day after a nice movement since I know I can expect some downward movement in the scale.
