How long does it take for your caffeine pills to kick in? And how many is a safe mg to take a day?

I'm wanting to do some morning workouts and I am NOT a morning person until I actually wake up some

Lettuce tacos made w/chicken breast, salsa, jalapenos, sautéed onions and peppers and a side of green beans for dinner.

Also busted out the weber kettle and grilled a bunch of chicken breast to prep for the weekend.

SO is doing RFL with me this time. The plan is to do it for 2 weeks and get some good momentum going, transition into a normal diet. I foresee myself going back to RFL in short spurts often, though.

I'm starting to build up a tolerance to the caffiene pills I think. I take 200mg in the morning + my coffee.

I'm about to order some more adrafinil. That shite hits me quick as frick and gets me in the zone better than anything else. (besides addy/vyvanse/and the illegal white stuff)

What'd you eat? I also fricked up by eating a bunch of mixed nuts last night. I can't seem to resist them and they're always in my damn house.

I think I'm getting sick too. About to go get some noodle-less pho tonight and try to kick it before it gets bad.

Keto is winning with natural fat! Trans fat with carbs sucks! Mackie Mileston sent me this email from Medscape.com

The Reduction in Trans Fats in the American Diet Is Making Us All Healthier

Medscape.com reported recently – Is Diet Outpacing Pills in Driving Down U.S. Lipid Levels? The lead to this story said, “declines in total cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL cholesterol observed around the new millennium continue their downward march in US adults, with the sharpest drops surprisingly seen in those not on lipid-lowering drugs, in a National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey analysis.”

Medscape credited these results to the fact that, “in 2015, the FDA gave food manufacturers 3 years to remove partially hydrogenated oils, the primary dietary source of artificial trans fat in processed foods. These efforts have paid off, with an estimated 78% reduction in consumer trans-fat consumption between 2003 and 2012, according to the federal agency. In 2006, manufacturers had to start putting trans fats content on food labels.

Mayoclinic.org says that, “Trans fat is considered by many doctors to be the worst type of fat you can eat. Unlike other dietary fats, trans fat — also called trans-fatty acids — both raises your LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and lowers your HDL (“good”) cholesterol. And, “a high LDL cholesterol level in combination with a low HDL cholesterol level increases your risk of heart disease, the leading killer of men and women.

Sources of Trans Fats in the Diet (Mayo Clinic)

Baked goods. Most cakes, cookies, pie crusts and crackers contain shortening, which is usually made from partially hydrogenated vegetable oil. Ready-made frosting is another source of trans fat.
Snacks. Potato, corn and tortilla chips often contain trans fat. Many types of packaged or microwave popcorn use trans fat to help cook or flavor the popcorn.
Fried food. Foods that require deep- frying — French fries, doughnuts and fried chicken — can contain trans fat from the oil used in the cooking process.
Refrigerator dough. Products such as canned biscuits and cinnamon rolls often contain trans fat, as do frozen pizza crusts.
Creamer and margarine. Nondairy coffee creamer and stick margarines also may
contain partially hydrogenated vegetable oils.
According to Medscape, “the new study, published online in JAMA Cardiology, used eight 2-year cross-sectional cycles between 1999–2000 and 2013–2014 in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey to examine trends in total cholesterol in 39,049 adults aged 20 years or older, triglycerides in 17,486 adults, and LDL-C in 17,096 adults.”

Lipid Guidelines:

Total Cholesterol – less than 200 mg/dl considered desirable

LDL Cholesterol – 100 -129 mg/dl considered “near optimal”

HDL Cholesterol – below 40 mg/dl for men and 50 for women considered poor

Triglycerides – below 150 mg/dl considered optimal
Between 1999–2000 and 2013–2014 (JAMA Cardiology)
Age-adjusted total cholesterol declined from 204 to 189 mg/dl

Triglycerides declined from 123 mg/dl to 97 mg/dl
LDL-C declined from 126 mg/dl to 111 mg/dl.”

The JAMA researchers attributed the large drop in Triglycerides, a blood fat derived from excess calories not needed by the body that are stored in fat cells – to the reduction in dietary trans fats.

If that is to long to read, Mackie says and I agree.

Don't eat cake, cookies, potato chips, fried anything and pillsbury crap.

3 years ago my BP was 150/110 and my triglycerides were 280 and I weighed 303 lbs.

Now I'm 225lbs, BP 110/70, Trigs 47. Keto is far from the only way to do it right, but it certainly works for fat loss and overall health.

I have seen some family and friends with diabetes.
Eating all the trans fat will put you on the trans... portation bus, train and flight to get there.

Here is my latest keto snack I've been whipping up. It changes every time because I constantly have leftover cheeses (I have 4-8 different types at any given moment)

1 bag riced cauliflower
4 tbs cream cheese
3 tbs Thyme
1 tbs Pepper
Few handfuls of cheddar cheese

1. Heat riced cauliflower in nonstick pan 3 min until it's no longer frozen.
2. Add cream cheese, stir
3. Add Spices
4. Add the rest of the cheese, stir and simmer (I add heavy whipping cream if it gets too sticky)
5. Put in a dish, cover with an extra layer of cheese, place in oven at 350 for about 15 minutes.

You now have delicious keto mac and cheese

I don't think trans fats will cause you to get diabetes (maybe indirectly?), but certainly will lead you on the path towards heart disease.

Sounds a lot like the cauliflower au gratin we make for my SO's dad (he's been keto for 3-4 years). Boil cauliflower for a few minutes to soften it up, season it, put it in a casserole dish.. Find some aged english cheddar (we find a big brick at Costco) parmesan, and some other milder cheese like mozz and melt it all down into a sauce with heavy cream and pour it all on top of the cauliflower, bake at 350 for 20 minutes, voila.. fricking. delicious.

Ate a big meatball sub from Tony's pizza and 1 slice and 2 tsp of Nutella. Nutella is my crack.

Friends at work have plateaued on Keto so I told them I would do a 10 day fat fast with them. Hopefully I can make it. Gonna be popping ephedra/caffeine like it's mother fricking skittles.
