Put sugar in my coffee this morning for first time in decades

And I know why it's been decades. Because sugar neutralizes the coffee taste. If you're gonna sugar your coffee, why not just go ahead and make some hot chocolate.

Sugar neutralizes some of the bitterness in coffee. I add honey in mine, personally.

I sit and watch some guy at work put four sweet and lows into a regular sized coffee cup. Makes we want to vomit.

Because I want reasonably tasty coffee, which includes 1/2 of a packet of Splenda and a big splash of cream.

I never understood or cared for sugar in coffee. A splash of cream is all you need. And barely that, if the coffee is worth a shite.

I’ve gotten better with it the past couple years, mainly since I became diabetic.
I used to put 17 teaspoons of sugar in a regular sized cup of coffee. Now I’m down to 1 Truvia plus 3-4 teaspoons of sugar.

That’s how I take an average cup (one Splenda packet to a 16-20oz cup of coffee). Dials any harshness back just enough to still be able to enjoy the flavor of the coffee. That’s Folgers or Dunkin. If it’s a good cup, I drink it black.
