It’s been A little over a year ago since I’ve been. Pre-Covid. I’m going for dinner in the next few days. Any recommendations from anyone with recent trips?

Yeah, skip it...go to Salty Joe's BBQ.

I'm kidding man. I've never ate there. Not a fan of Indian food unless we're talking feather Indian. Then I love elk and deer. I read "cuisine in Hammond" and remembered Salty Joe's. Good luck with it.

Still doing the buffet as of about a month ago. I went and they just made you wear gloves when getting your food. Was a quality meal

This saying is so cringe. Know the difference or stop being a douche.

You mean you like native american food like cornbread, turkey, cranberry, blueberry?

Had never been until December

Went the day after Christmas (Saturday). Got a Lamb Biryani and a Chicken Vindaloo to go. Both excellent. The vindaloo was very stingy on the chicken and had more potatoes than Im used to. The buffet was open and looked good. There were 2 or 3 groups eating there. Would go again, but I’m rarely passing through Hammond.

My go to Indian meal is Tandoori Shrimp, rice, garlic naan. Medium chili sauce.

I had reservations at Social Bird in Lafayette last week. Had a damn good meal. They also had a couple good beers on tap. The owners have a sister restaurant in Dublin I’ve been to several times and that’s how I got tipped off on Social Bird.

I think it’s a little overrrated because of the novelty of being in a gas station. I ate at dhaba and swagat back to back nights once to compare and swagat was significantly better.

We live in Mandeville and make the drive every couple of months. They even catered a party for us.

It’s all good food, the wife is half indian by the way, so she should know. Dot not feather.

I'll have to check it out. It looks like its right next to the Bart station too, so I can tie one on and not drive back.
